Sir Tom Jones thinks The Voice UK will produce bigger stars on ITV.
The talent show will switch channels from 2017 after five years on the BBC.
In that time the series has produced no real successful chart acts, a stick often used to beat the show compared to rival series The X Factor.
But could it all change on ITV?
Sir Tom thinks so after Polydor Records got on board to manage the eventual winner.
"This is with Polydor Records and I think they’ve got more hands-on," he said.
Speaking at the launch of the ITV series in Manchester last week, Sir Tom explained: “It’s a bigger deal now, recording-wise, for the winner. Even the finalists will have a better chance to work with the record company. It seems to be a better set-up.”
However he warned those trying out at the blind auditions that there were never any guarantees.
Sir Tom told The Sun newspaper: “Nobody can guarantee a hit. If we could, we’d all have them all the time. When you win The Voice, that doesn’t mean you’re going to get a hit record or you’re going to be a star.
“But at least you’ve got the introduction.”
Meanwhile, Sir Tom revealed how his family and friends BOYCOTTED the show last year after his axe.
Tom said: “My wife and my sister loved watching it. All my family are thrilled [I'm back].
“They refused to watch it when I wasn’t on.”
The Voice UK will air on ITV from 2017.
