Paloma Faith has confessed that she helped to 'FIX' the results of The Voice UK battle rounds.

The coach has revealed that she and fellow star Ricky Wilson got together before filming to help get their favourite acts through.

In last night's show we saw Paloma send home Kevin Simm after his battle against Faith Nelson despite being the favourite to win, getting backed by the public on the show's official app.

However the reason behind Paloma's decision seems to have had nothing to do with the battle itself, explaining how she had agreed with Ricky that he would steal the former Liberty X singer.

Paloma told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Losing Kevin was the hardest battle round decision. I wasn’t sleeping because of it. So Ricky and I agreed beforehand that he would take Kevin."

She explained: “The problem I had was both Kevin and Faith were amazing.

“Kevin’s one of only two acts this series to get four of us turning, whereas only two of us had turned for Faith.

“But I was really sure about her. So I had to make sure they both stayed. It would have been 100 per cent ridiculous to get rid of someone that talented.”

Unaware of the plan hatched by the coaches, Kevin confessed that he felt "s**t" after being sent away by Paloma despite giving his all in the performance.

Kevin told the Daily Star on Sunday newspaper: "I felt like I’d done well. And I got amazing comments from all the coaches including Paloma herself.

"So when she didn’t put me through messed with my head a little bit. It was really strange.

“I felt like s***, of course," he added. "It was a weird feeling. I felt numb. I thought ‘it’s game over now’. I felt a little dejected and down on myself.”

The Voice UK continues Saturday nights on BBC One.
