MUMBAI: ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ seems to be doing magic for Sony Entertainment Television (SET), which rose to No. 3 in urban Hindi-speaking market (HSM) in the 40th week of the year.

SET pushed Zee TV to the fourth position, according to BARC viewership data for the week ended 7 October.

Star Plus and Colors continued to rein supreme at the top.

Zee Anmol moved to the eighth position from 10th in the previous week. Star Utsav and Sony Pal each moved down a slot.


Top 5 shows in Urban HSM

Zee TV’s ‘Brahmarakshas’ once again took the centre stage as the most-watched show in urban HSM.

‘Shakti’ on Colors re-entered the top 5. Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ was out of the list.



Top Hindi GECs in Urban+Rural HSM

In urban + rural HSM, Zee TV continued to be in the third position despite a drop in viewership.

There was no change at the top. Star Plus remained as the genre leader while Colors was at No. 2.

Zee Anmol, Life OK and SET each moved up a position.

Star Utsav dropped to the seventh position. SAB TV and Sony Pal swapped positions.



Top shows in Urban+Rural HSM

Colors’ ‘Shakti’ displaced Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ from the list of top 5 shows in urban + rural HSM.

Top Hindi GECs in Rural HSM

In rural HSM, Zee Anmol once again grabbed the top position by upstaging Star Utsav. The other positions remained unchanged.

In rural top 5, Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ was replaced by Zee Anmol’s ‘Kasam Hai Tujhe Aa Bhi Jaa’.
