How did she not have a "true send off" exactly? She had an entire season of leaving buildup, just like Allison did. They established the skinwalkers being a more or less permanent (to normal human lifetime) situation early. She blows them off after making a promise to them to stay. She returns for a favor with an 'I'll do anything' spiel. By all rights I would expect her to ''never'' be able to leave in some sort of atonement for breaking her promise to start with. But even if they were nice and just wanted her to stick to her original word, she's looking at decades of training with them. Or so the impression they had left earlier was. She got a nice little good bye scene with Scott.
Seriously, what more did you want to send her out?
