These rats will NOT be playing over here anymore!

Or at least they won't be in customers' views!

A Manhattan Dunkin' Donuts recently got into hot water after one customer uploaded a video of rats chomping down on some of its baked goods!

We were wondering why the New York City Health Department, which had issued the chain store a grade of A, hadn't closed the shop once the rat news was revealed, but we guess they were just biding their time.

Because they've announced since that the rat infested store has been shut down!!!

Here's what the Health Department had to say about the store:

"Dunkin’ Donuts was closed by the Health Department yesterday because of a public health hazard that could not be corrected at the time of the inspection. In this case, the restaurant had a severe pest infestation that will require professional pest control services."

The Health Department also cited the store for "inadequate hand washing facilities and food not being protected from contamination".

Wow!!! We seriously doubt anyone will be going to this location again, even when they do figure out the vermin problem!

Today, customers have reported that they had seen the workers at the store breaking down the counter, and doing some heavy duty cleaning. The manager at this Dunkin' Donuts had previously denied the store had a rat problem, but a recent phone call to the place had one employee picking up and saying:

"We have some issues."

That is putting it lightly!

Hopefully this will be a wake-up call for any other Dunkin' Donuts in New York who have health issues.

After all - a clean Dunkin' Donuts is an open Dunkin' Donuts! Lolz!
