Talk: “Agile fix price contracts in software projects”

In 2010, NIS AG introduced Scrum as its (management) framework for developing software solutions. The first team went through a steep learning curve. Many things we thought would be wrong in Scrum turned out to be cornerstones for success. In 2011 the second team adopted Scrum and end of 2012 we were ready for a first large agile software project with a key customer.
Living and breathing Scrum, NIS AG invests a rather large amount of time in reviewing results, finding impediments and taking actions to remove them. The first two years provided the important groundwork and helped the team acquire the experience and skills for an agile software project.
After a short introduction, the remainder of the presentation will focus on sharing best practices about agile contracts, the roles in an agile project, how to deal with uncertainty and transparent cost management. Erwin Saegesser is going to further share key lessons learned in areas such as relationship, scope and expectation management.
Using examples he will comment on the few but important rules of Scrum, for example the management of impediments.
