Microsoft is laying the bricks for what would be a polish to the user interface elements of Windows 10. The update, arriving later in the year, will bring back most of the animations and the ability to blur certain navigational areas of Windows Vista and Windows 7. Back in November, Windows Central reported that this has been an ongoing project at Microsoft codenamed, Project Neon.
After a few recent leaks, MSPoweruser has revealed screenshots of the concepts that may arrive with the update.
More customization.
Microsoft is also introducing a concept called “Acrylic.” The concept, coming to the overall design of Windows 10, will enable developers to customize the appearance of their universal apps.
Uses the latest technology.
In addition to these new concepts, Microsoft is experimenting with HoloLens and 3D technology. The company will also modify the UI elements in places where users interact with the mouse pointer.
Coming in May.
We expect Microsoft to make the announcement with detailed design changes during the Build Developers conference this May. This will come soon after Microsoft launches the Windows 10 Creators update to its current users in April.
