This particular version of the well-known operating system has a great advantage over the others, because when a user deletes a text message it doesn’t really disappear, but it is transferred to another folder. So, if you accidentally deleted your text messages, just follow the next simple guide and you’ll be fine:
First of all, find and access the text messages section, which is usually represented with an envelope.
Secondly, press the “Menu” button and select “Folders”.
A list with all the available folders will appear and press on the “Deleted Items” choice.
Locate the respective text message and then click “Menu” and “Move”.
Select “Inbox” or the folder you wish to transfer it to and the message will automatically transfer to that certain box.
Unfortunately, for Windows Phone 7 and 8 there are no solutions to restore text messages, once they’re deleted, they’re gone for good. The only thing you can do is restore your latest backup which has to be anterior the date when you accidentally deleted your text messages, otherwise you have your hands in ties.
So, go to “Settings” and select “Backup” in order to see when it was made the last backup and if it is favorable, reset your smartphone. When the process has ended, use the same email to log in to your account and you will be asked if you want to restore the latest backup, click “Yes” and all your messages, contacts, call logs and even social networks will be restored.
