Preparations for the 2015 edition of DEMO Africa which will hold in Lagos, this year, are intensifying. The event dates have been confirmed as 24th and 25th of September at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
DEMO Africa has now announced that this year’s edition of the DEMO Africa startup event will once again play host to a dedicated Investor Summit, bringing together investor groups from across the continent and abroad, under the theme of “The African Opportunity: Angel Investing in Africa”. The Investor summit will take place on September 23.
Investors from Cairo Angels, Lagos Angels Network, Ivoire Business Angels, Viktoria Angels, Ghana Angel Investors Network, Africa Angels Network, Cameroon Angels, Silicon Cape and other groups are expected to be present at the summit along with experts from InfoDev, the World Bank, African Development Bank, a delegation of US investors, and a delegation from The European Trade Association for Business Angels, Seed Funds and Early Stage Market Players (EBAN).
Last year’s Investor Summit resulted in the formation of the African Business Angel Network (ABAN) which is now headed by Mr Tomi Davies.
Of course, startups can still apply to compete at the DEMO Africa 2015 event and VC4Africa, a DEMO Africa partner, hosts the application process for this year.
