The developer-centric Apple developer website hacked by some attackers last Thursday. Apple Inc. recently has acknowledged about the developer website hack and announced complete system overhaul. Due to the process, the website faced downtime from past few days.

Apple developer website is the source for developers who are working on Mac and iOS platforms to develop new apps. The website provides several tools and services to the developers across the world, under one roof. The website hosts several Apple developer forums, SDK downloads, API documentation and more through developer account login process.

Apple has acknowledged about the hack of its developer website recently. In a statement to the developers, Apple has revealed that the attackers might able to gone through some developers data including developers names, mailing addresses. and/or email addresses. On the other part, the concern has stated that sensitive personal information was encrypted, therefore, attackers were not able to access the same. Soon after the issue came into light, Apple team took the site down and started looking into issue to replicate the security hole. A complete overhaul of developer systems, updating server software and rebuilding entire database started soon thereafter which would result some downtime.

Apple has assured the developers that its developer website would be soon have more secure and encrypted process to overcome the issue in future. The manufacturer has also assured that all apps will remain in the App Store and the membership of all the developers will be extended, whose program membership was set for renewal in during the outage.
