Next year, fans will see the Justice League come together in an epic team-up film DC fans have been waiting for. Turns out, that won’t be the only time we see these heroes join forces for the greater good. Just as we saw in Batman v Superman, these characters will start uniting in solo movies, too.
According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Ray Fisher’s Victor Stone/Cyborg will appear in The Flash, a film being directed by Rick Famuyiwa. Apparently, Warner Bros. wants to give the character a fair amount of screen time before his own standalone film, which is currently scheduled for a 2020 release.
Cyborg briefly appeared in Batman v Superman, giving fans a quick look at the character’s origin story. It’s an important glimpse because it features a Mother Box, described as a portable alien supercomputer with wondrous powers.
As Entertainment Weekly points out, Justice League director Zack Snyder previously said showing Cyborg’s origin was important because he plays a strong part going forward. It’s unclear how prominently he’ll feature in The Flash, but I wouldn’t be surprised to find out it’s a pretty major part.
In Justice League, Cyborg will join the Flash along with Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, the latter three we saw band together to take on Doomsday in Batman v Superman. You can get an extended glimpse at the Flash and Cyborg in the Justice League footage released during Comic-Con.
