Lenovo has unveiled three new smartphones under K-series. Called K6, K6 Power and K6 Note at IFA 2016. All smartphones feature 1080p displays, fingerprint scanner and powered by Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
With IFA 2016 underway, a lot of manufacturers have already announced their products in the pre-event shows. With the likes of Acer, Huawei, HTC and Motorola already unveiling their smartphones, Lenovo doesn’t want to stay far behind. Earlier today, the company has unveiled three new smartphones in its K-series, called the Lenovo K6, K6 Power and K6 Note. One of the key highlights of these smartphones is that all of them feature a metal unibody design, full HD (1080p) display, fingerprint scanner and run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box. All three smartphones will be offered in dark grey, gold and silver color options. While the pricing and availability details are unknown, the smartphones are set to go on sale later this month.
Lenovo K6, K6 Power specifications and features
Both smartphones come with identical set of specifications and features, and a few minor differences. They both flaunt a 5-inch full HD (1080p) display and are powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor (four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.2GHz + four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz) and paired with Adreno 505 GPU.
In the photography department, both smartphones sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. With connectivity options such as dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS, both smartphones run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS wrapped under Vibe UI. Other features include fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication and Dolby Atmos audio. Also, both smartphones include microSD card slots for further expansion.
Now, in terms of differences, the Lenovo K6 is equipped with 2GB of RAM + 16GB onboard storage and 3,000mAh battery. The K6 Power, on the other hand, is offered in 2GB of RAM + 16GB storage, 3GB of RAM + 32GB storage, and features a slightly higher capacity 4,000mAh battery.
Lenovo K6 Note specifications and features
The K6 Note features a slightly larger 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display compared to the 5-inch one on K6 and K6 Power. The smartphone is also powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 430 octa-core SoC (four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.2GHz + four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz) and paired with Adreno 505 GPU. There are two variants of the Lenovo K6 Note – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 32GB storage. A microSD card slot for further expansion up to 128GB is also present.
In the photography department, the smartphone features a slightly higher resolution camera of 16-megapixel with dual tone LED flash. Up front is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. Armed with 4,000mAh battery, connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. Just like the K6 and K6 Power, the K6 Note also features Dolby Atmos audio enhancement, fingerprint scanner and runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS wrapped under Vibe UI.
