Huawei has launched a new Enjoy 6 smartphone in China. Equipped with a 5-inch HD display, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and features a 4,100mAh battery.

Ahead of launching its flagship smartphone, Mate 9 on November 3, Huawei has launched the affordable Enjoy 6 smartphone in China. Success to Enjoy 5 that was launched in October last year, the new smartphone brings some upgrades in the form of faster processor and more RAM among others. Priced at 1299 Yuan (which is approximately Rs 12,800), the smartphone will go on sale in China starting November 1. However, there is no word on when the smartphone will be launched in other regions.

The Huawei Enjoy 6 is offered in pink, white, gold, blue and gray color options. The smartphone is equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, just below the camera module. The fingerprint sensor can be used to access the notification panel as well as capture selfies with a tap. Furthermore, it can also be used to authorize mobile payments even though the smartphone is not equipped with NFC chip. The Enjoy 6 also comes with IP52 certification which makes it splash resistant, but not water resistant.

Huawei Enjoy 6 specifications

The Huawei Enjoy 6 features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) AMOLED display with pixel density of 293 ppi. Under the hood, runs a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage, which can further be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. In the photography department, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera of aperture f/2.2 and an LED flash. Up front, there’s a 5-megapixel snapper for selfies. The connectivity options provided by the smartphone include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE with VoLTE voice calling support, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/GPSA, OTG and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. On the software front, smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 on top. To keep things ticking, the smartphone is armed with a 4,100mAh battery which Huawei claims to offer more than 22 hours of talk time and up to 648 of standby. If launched in India around the same price tag, the Enjoy 6 will compete with the likes of Lenovo Vibe K5, Meizu M3S, Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime and Micromax Canvas Unite 4 Pro. All of these smartphones are priced under Rs 10,000 and feature a 5-inch display. However, as the Enjoy 6 is priced slightly higher, it will compete with LeEco Le 2, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Coolpad Note 5 to name a few. All of these smartphones offer a slightly larger 5.5-inch full HD displays.

The Meizu M3S is priced at Rs 7,999 and features a 5-inch HD display with 2.5D glass. It is powered by MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor paired with 2GB/ 3GB of RAM and 16GB / 32GB onboard storage. It also features a 13-megapixel rear camera, with dual-LED flash, and a front facing 5-megapixel camera. The smartphone is fueled with a 3,020mAh battery and comes with connectivity options such as dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, 4G.

The Redmi 3s Prime is priced at Rs 8,999, and comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. It features a 5-inch HD display, and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor. The smartphone sports 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras. It also comes with a 4,100mAh battery and connectivity options such as Bluetooth, 4G LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi and GPS.

The Canvas Unite 4 Pro which is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, features an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel selfie snapper. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop based Indus OS 2.0 with support for 12 regional languages such as Marathi, Hindi, Bengali, Oria, Urdu, Guajarati, Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil among others. The smartphone features a 3,900mAh battery.

The Vibe K5, on the other hand, is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 415 octa-core processor, features a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. It is fuelled by a 2,750mAh battery and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.
