Kim Kardashian is a pretty big name in the American television and Fashion industry. The 33-year-old, currently married to a famous rapper Kanye West, has had many ups and downs in life but she keeps going, leaving her mark on everything she touches, and this time it’s the world of mobile gaming and she doesn’t just leave her mark, she crushed the opposition.

According to a recent report released by market researcher App Annie, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, a game from Glu Mobile was the most downloaded smartphone app in the month of July. The game has players taking on the role of a starlet on the way to increasing their popularity and build a successful career in Hollywood with Kim Kardashian as the player’s coach, guiding them through all the steps.

The game rose 46 slots through July, ending up as the No. 1 most downloaded app on iOS, with the number 2 title going to Dino Hunter: Deadly Shores, another Glu Mobile title.

According to App Annie, Glu Mobile received a huge boost by mainstream media coverage of the Kardashian title, reaching the top 5 almost immediately after its launch and even ended up on the top 10 iOS revenue rankings, although at #10 but given the game is free to download, that is quite an achievement.

The game received 68,000 reviews in July, which is actually more than all the other new releases on the iOS Top 10 downloaded titles combined. Well, isn’t that hinting towards something? From the looks of it, we will be seeing a huge influx of celebrity titled apps pretty soon.

One of the viral successes in July was Timberman, a game by Polish indie studio Digital Melody. The game ended in the top five iOS downloads for July, and it briefly displaced Kim Kardashian: Hollywood at No. 1 in daily download ranks, but the Kardasian title still managed to come out on top.

While Glu’s other title, Dino Hunter did manage to get the 2nd spot, it didn’t really present players with something new and turned out to be a reskin of another popular Glu title, Deer Hunter.
