Kuala Lumpur, 19th August 2015 – Merdeka 2015 is set to be an even bigger celebration this year as Malaysians will get to enjoy something special – five leading e-commerce businesses are combining their resources to bring the first ever #Unitysale to life! Lazada, foodpanda, ZALORA, UBER and HappyFresh today revealed the first ever joint online sale of its kind in Malaysia that will run from 26th August – 1st September, 2015.

Envisioned as part of this year’s contribution of these partners towards Malaysia’s Independence Day celebrations, it will feature a host offering including more than 20,000 online deals and up to 94% in product discounts across individual products and services being offered by the five participating brands.

The #Unitysale campaign is an initiative to leverage Malaysia’s rising number of internet users which currently stands at 20 million. This includes an increased use of mobile devices to purchase items online; and using the Internet to research the best deals before purchasing them.
