We all know Adobe, from Adobe also we know that they have something called the creative suite. It is a collection of Adobe’s wonderful services and apps including the iconic Photoshop. Something that is popular with videographers and film makers worldwide is also the Premiere pro. There are of course more apps in their creative suite line up. Except that they are not called creative suites anymore. As technology is planting itself in the cloud foothold these days Adobe though they should do the same. In fact as of 2015 the Adobe Creative Cloud has become its core product and flagship line. It replaces the aging Creative Suite 6 introduced back in 2012. By integrative Adobe’s cloud database with the apps proved to be a good idea and also seems to be essential in keeping up with ever-growing demands of the industries utilising their services. The benefit to the consumers of the creative cloud services are quite endless. For one they don’t actually have to keep paying top dollars for every new Creative Suite or reinstall their Adobe apps every single time there is an update to the app major or minor. Updates can actually be pushed out smartphone style; over-the-air. Updates can be delivered much quicker too thanks to cloud, also fast internet of course.

Just recently, Adobe proved that those who actually took on the Creative Cloud boat was on the right boat. Recently they released and announced an update to their creative Cloud services. The update is of course distributed over-the-air to existing subscribers of Adobe’s Creative Cloud services, for no extra charges. The updates are already currently available and all Adobe subscribers should have already have them. So the big question is what comes with the Adobe Creative Cloud update for this year for apps that have dated about a year old; usually considered out of date by now.

For this update Adobe has chosen to focus on the process efficiency of their apps more than anything. This should me a cut down of process and skipping unnecessary processes in order to increase work efficiency and also workflow. The update is also meant to allow users to spend more time on content creation and the creativity process than trying to get from one menu to the other. One of the updates that was researched to give extra workflow and speed up processing time by 10 times is the inclusion or availability of Adobe Stock Service into the Creative Cloud package. What this means is that as a subscriber of the Creative Cloud service now you have unlimited access to the broad catalogue of stocks from Adobe’s database. If that does not already help speed up the creative process this inclusion also means that the Stock Service is integrated and embedded within the Creative Cloud apps. What that would do for you is basically allow access of Adobe’s stocks database in the app that you are using; be it the Photoshop, or Premiere pro, or After Effects. There is about 100,000 available high quality stock contents from Adobe’s Stock Service so it is not like you’d be wanting for more. What’s more is that artists, film makers, and users can even make more money though the inclusion of Stock Service in CC. They could upload and sell their creations on the Stock Service itself.

New Imaging Features

Of course there are also specific improvements and additions made to the apps that is most used in the CC apps line up. First up for Photoshop is the performance upgrade. With this new update, though interfaces has not changed they have made sure that processing in Photoshop is faster and more convenient than ever. One of the perks of the performance upgrade is faster processing or working of fonts and content-aware fills. Of course there is more for Photoshop; you now get Content-Aware Crop which allows you to expand or move a canvas more conveniently as the software would automatically fill up gaps in the processes. Also you get Face-Aware liquify to ensure a proportionate facial feature while adding effects. Working with fonts in Photoshop is also enhanced through the Match Font feature built into the app. What it does is basically recognise fonts you use and automatically search and suggest similar font licenses in your computer or update its licensing automatically with Adobe’s Typekit. In another imaging app, Illustrator the new update allows you to export your projects in multiple formats just through a single process through Fast Export. No more exporting your project multiple times and wasting precious time.

Video Goodness

Of course the film makers get some loving from Adobe as well in the form of Character Animation Preview in After Effects. This is quite amazing; what it does is match an animation character of your creation’s behaviour, actions, speech, and movements to a real-life actor. Very cool. Another thing that is cool nowadays too is Virtual Reality. That is exactly what Premiere Pro is getting with this update; new Virtual Reality (VR) capabilities built into the app including the ability to preview contents in “field-of’view” mode.

… And More

Other update includes the CreativeSync and Assets in which you get easy access to features, fonts, settings, and user files are easily accessed by user at all times on all platforms to ensure an efficient and consistent work order or design philosophy. CC for Enterprise also updated its security firewall to ensure a quicker data transfer or exchange between users while staying secure behind the firewall itself. All this updates and upgrades come to existing users and subscribers at no additional costs. As for those who would like to move or subscribe to the Creative Cloud platform, there are some new pricing and payment plans from Adobe, here. Press Release after the break.
