This is the smartest speaker I’ve ever met- I half expected that it would make me a coffee and discuss the problems of the world with me. Prizm is an awesome new speaker that uses your music streaming accounts and playlists to create personalized playlists for you. And it doesn’t stop there- Prizm can recognize the various playlists of people in the room and create a mixed playlist that each person in the room will enjoy.
If the Prizm is live streaming, you can press the heart button on the face and it will immediately make a note to keep it in your personalized playlist. It can also recognize what kinds of music you play on certain days or will reflect your moods to play the perfect song you’ve been longing to hear. Imagine walking into the room after a long day and your Prizm doesn’t ask you any questions- it just starts playing a smooth jazz or get-crazy hip hop theme that makes everything better.
LG Twin Wash
When it’s 10PM and you’re ready for bed, but you just remembered that you still have that white load to wash before work tomorrow. It’s too bad you can’t do two loads at once! Or can you? The LG Twin Wash is a new washing machine designed with a ‘sidekick’ washing machine built into the base. This allows users to complete two loads of wash at once for a much quicker washing and a lot more time to catch up on your Netflix.
Not only that, but there’s also an LG Twin dryer option to get everything done at once. Using their built-in SmartThinQ technology, users can integrate personalized cycles into the duo and even start a load using their phone! Forget about having to leave the party to get your laundry washed- just make sure you get home in time to switch it over to the dryer.
Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator
If you thought your fridge was simply a chilly vessel for your delicious meals, then you need to give your head a shake! Even the fridge deserves a bit of an upgrade, and an upgrade it has been given. The Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator has been in high conversation the last little while, with its interesting 4-door design and 21.5-inch tablet plastered on the top right section.
The tablet is full of apps that include weather, calendars, sticky notes and more, and the fridge even has built-in speakers so you can play your favorite music from the giant silver boom box. The coolest feature? Cameras inside the fridge can show you exactly what you’ve got in your fridge when you completely forget what you’re doing at the grocery store. There is a fridge god!
BONJOUR
Okay I saved the best for last. I am a snooze queen- I will not get up until I’ve hit the snooze at least 5 times. This is a regular daily occurrence. However, this alarm clock has me thinking of changing my ways. Bonjour is a super-intelligent new gadget that can tell you what you have coming up for the morning, inform you about traffic on your daily route and alter your alarm clock based on your requests.
If you prefer to wake up for an early run, request that Bonjour wake you only if it’s sunny-and if its rainy to let you sleep in. It will also alter your alarm time if your morning commute is going to take more or less time. Impressed yet?
