Speaking during the media launch in Lagos, the CEO of Asseco Nigeria, Simon Melchior said the company’s presence in Nigeria would have positive effect of some sector of the economy but would be starting with power, banking, insurance sector and capital market, Fast Moving Consumer Good and telecom sectors.

Being the 6th largest software producer in Europe with 17,000 employees globally, Asseco Group has proven its worth in Poland and other countries of operation, the Asseco Group, a federation of independent successful IT companies, is bring its years of experience to bear in Nigeria.

With special focus on power and working with the Federal Ministry of Power and the distribution companies toward automating billing system.

Other areas at which the company would be lending a helping hand for the power sector include meter data management, energy management system and solutions for detection of energy loss or theft. All these, the Managing Director, Asseco Nigeria, Adefolu Majekodunmi said will improve the maintenance culture of the sector while also translating to more revenue for the distribution companies.
