Now that I've shared all of our new products, can you handle one more bit of exciting news!? Today we're launching our very own challenge over on the Share Joy Challenge blog! Each Thursday, the fabulous Jen Shults will be posting a new challenge to inspire us to create and the newest members of our Creative Team will be providing ideas to get us started. Not only do we hope to inspire your creative time, we also want to encourage you to use the projects you create to share joy with those around you. One of the weekly requirements is to get that card in the mail! So will you take the challenge!?

I love all of the sketches that Jen designs and this one is no exception. And I think it was quite fitting to use our company colors for this inaugural challenge! Each of the challenges will include a sketch and an additional element. The cool part is that you can choose to incorporate one or the other or both on your project!

For my card I used the sketch and the color inspiration to create this:

I started by die cutting the Scribble Flowers out of several colors of felt and cardstock and piecing them together in the colors and layers that I wanted. Taylor's Tip: I typically don't know exactly what flowers I want to create when I start cutting. I just cut a bunch of sizes and colors and then start trying things together until I come up with the combinations that I like. I highlighted the leaves with Copic marker for extra dimension and the layers of felt add some nice texture to the scene as well.

For even more texture I embossed the clouds with the Lots of Dots embossing folder and embossed my sentiment. To finish it off I added a bit of twine at the top! I hope you'll head over to the Share Joy Challenge blog and check it out! We'd love to have you join us (and of course, there are prizes up for grabs too!).
