UBER RESET MY PASSWORD

Within a few minutes, you should receive an email inviting you to reset your password.

For security reasons, you should choose a unique password for Uber and never share your password in any correspondence.

UBER CONFIRM MY MOBILE NUMBER

If you’re not receiving verification messages and are unable to ride, it’s likely that your carrier is blocking short code SMS.

Give your provider a call to make sure that short code SMS is enabled for your rider account.

I'M NOT RECEIVING EMAILS FROM UBER

If you’re not receiving emails from Uber, please check your email account’s “Spam” or “Junk” folders to ensure the message was not filtered.

Also verify that your email address is listed correctly on your account by visiting the Settings tab in the main menu of the app.

If you’re still not receiving messages from us, please confirm your email address and we'll be happy to assist.

UPDATE MY ACCOUNT INFORMATION

- Open the main menu in the top corner of the app

- Navigate to the Settings tab

From here, you can update your name, email address, phone number and profile photo.

Uber PAY WITH PAYTM (INDIA ONLY)

ADDING A PAYTM WALLET TAKES JUST 2 MINUTES.

Here’s how to link an existing Paytm wallet (or create a new one) in 5 simple steps:

1. Fire up the Uber App on your Android or Apple phone

2. Tap the profile icon on the top of the screen, then tap on ‘Payment’

3. Next, tap on the ‘Add New Card’ icon on top right. Then tap the “Add a Prepaid Wallet” button

4. If you don’t already have a Paytm Wallet, we’ll create one for you in seconds. You will receive an OTP (One Time Password) via email and an SMS on your mobile number registered with Uber. Just punch the OTP in here, tap on Verify and your account will be magically linked.

Note: If your existing Paytm account has the same mobile number and email ID combination as your Uber account, you will receive the OTP via email and SMS too. If the combination isn’t the same, you will receive the OTP either via your email or mobile, depending on which of the two is already registered on Paytm.

5. Next, tap ‘Add Money’ top up your wallet balance. You can use your Debit card, Credit card or even Net-banking – whichever’s most convenient for you!

You're all set to ride!

UBER PAY WITH CASH

Here's how you can pay using the CASH option -

1. Fire up the Uber App on your Android or iPhone

2. Tap the profile icon on the top of the screen, then tap on ‘Payment’

3. Select ‘CASH’ as your payment option

4. Request for a ride

5. At the end of the trip, pay the amount shown to you & your driver – No haggling required

UBER PAYING WITH AIRTEL

Using your app, follow these steps to add Airtel Money wallet as an account payment method:

Select “Payment” from the menu in your Uber app

Tap “Add Payment”

Tap “Airtel Money” to add your account

Select Airtel Money as your payment method and take a ride

Please Note:

Ensure your account and phone's region is India. You can edit your account by logging on to riders.uber.com

In case option to add Airtel Money doesn't show up, please reinstall the app and login again

- Log in to your account at the link below

- Navigate to “Payment”

There you’ll find all promotions that are currently applied to your account.

UBER CAN I EXTEND A PROMO’S EXPIRATION?

The expiration dates of promos cannot be changed or extended.

You can always earn free rides by inviting your friends to Uber. Learn more by tapping “Free Rides” in the main menu of the app.

CAN I CHOOSE WHEN TO APPLY A PROMO TO A TRIP?

Promo codes on your account will automatically apply towards the next trip you take that meets the promotion's terms. If you participate in a Fare Split trip for which you weren't the trip requester, your promo will not apply.

There is no way to toggle a promo on or off once it is applied to your account.

UBER HOW CAN I EARN FREE RIDES OR CREDIT?

You can earn free rides or Uber account credit by inviting your friends to signup and ride using your personal invite code.

You can find your invite code in the Uber app by tapping Free Rides in the main menu.

Uber credit or rides will be applied to fares billed in the corresponding currency.

Remember, personal invite codes should only be used for personal and non-commercial purposes. This means that you can share your invite link with your personal connections via social media where you are the primary content owner. Public distribution on sites where you are a contributor but not the primary content owner (e.g., Wikipedia, coupon websites) is not allowed. Promoting your referral code via Search Engine Marketing (e.g., AdWords/Yahoo/Bing) is also not allowed.

Referral promotion codes are applicable to an invited user's first ride — they are not intended for existing users. Existing users attempting to take advantage of the referral program may have their referral promotions disabled.

Uber reserves the right to suspend your account and revoke any referral credits if they were earned against our terms.

UBER ERROR ADDING A PAYMENT METHOD

If a CVV number or billing zip code is entered incorrectly, you may later receive a message about an error processing your payment method after a trip.

Try removing the payment method from your Uber account. Add it again, making sure all info is correct.

If you continue to receive messages about payment errors, contact your financial institution to verify that your payment account is active and verified internationally.

Please note that Uber does not currently accept prepaid cards. If you attempt to add or sign up with a prepaid card, you may receive an error message.
