Well my new Tac. II 10mm is going to have to take a vacation to Nevada. I finally had a chance to get to the range yesterday evening, i shot six mags.(48 rds.). Started of good then about middle of 4th mag. started to have some FTRTB's, also a couple of times rds. were fully chambered but the disconnector didn't reset. Now the FTRTB i was able to push the slide with a thumb and then fire the pistol. After mag. 6 I cycled the pistol by hand several times and I could hear and feel something wasn't right. Almost like something was binding so i stopped shooting the pistol at that point.

When i returned home from the range i tore the pistol down found that the reverse recoil plug had rotated 90 degrees. I had a bear of a time removing recoil guide rod, spring and plug with the plug in that position. Once i removed the recoil assembly i found the plug had gouge in it and the slide were the recoil plug joins also had a gouge with a burr. At this point i can't reassemble reciol assembly the reverse recoil plug will not fit back into the slide. I don't know how it was even possible to rotate during live fire, it is impossible to assemble pistol with the recoil plug in the wrong position as it will be at an angle which it wouldn't be able to go back into the slide.

I measured the O.D. of the recoil plug at .5025 and the smallest measurement in the slide were the recoil plug is supposed to slide into is .4905, just enough to where the recoil plug won't go. Now i did clean the burrs just to see if the plug would go but no luck. I'm not sure at what rd. count during live fire the plug rotated or how many rds. were fired after it rotated but either the plug is out of round or the slide or both.

I thought about calling Armscor to see if they would send me a new recoil plug and fix it myself, but then i may have to file on the slide to make it work. Also if the recoil plug was able to rotate out of position during live fire it may happen again. So tomorrow i will call Armscor and see about getting a shipping label and let them fix it. After all it is brand new only 48 rds. put through it.
