Niche recently released the Top 100 list for ‘Best Teachers in Georgia’ and Tattnall County ranked No. 96.

The online portal for statistics, rankings, and data on K-12 education used information from the U.S. Department of Education, Civil Rights Data Collection, and the National Center for Education Statistics. When Niche calculated the rankings, the database contained records for 12,153 school districts. School districts were not included in the ranking process if they did not have sufficient data. The final ranking results in 10,538 school districts receiving a grade, with 7,350 of those also receiving a numerical ranking.



Niche used the following data to determine the district scores:

Parent/Student surveys on teachers –> 30%

Academics grade –>25%

Average Teacher salary –> 10%

Teacher absenteeism –> 10%

Teacher salary index –> 10%

Teachers in first & second year –> 10%

Student – teacher ration –> 5%

Trion City Schools – Trion Township, GA

Bremen City Schools – Bremen, GA

Oconee City Schools – Watkinsville, GA

Muscogee County Schools – Columbus, GA

Forsyth County Schools – Cumming, GA

Marietta City Schools – Marietta, GA

Morgan County Schools – Rutledge, GA

Calhoun City Schools – Calhoun, GA
