South African gospel singer, Lundi Tyamara, is dead!! He passed on after a battle with stomach tuberculosis and liver complications.
The 38-year-old award-winning star was admitted to a Johannesburg hospital first in December 2016 and after news of his illness, family and friends of the gospel singer gathered often to pray for his recovery.
The family released a statement confirming the musician's death, saying he died in the early hours of Friday morning at Edenvale Hospital.
Tyamara is known for hits like, "Mphefumlo Wami".
Tyamara's former manager, Tshepo Nzimande, recalled the success of song which was released in October 1998 and by December had sold "18,000 copies".
