I was invited by Sundara to try out their newly launched Asian-inspired menu. The restaurant is part of Four Seasons and is located in Jimbaran, Bali.

Me and my friend were staying in Ulu Watu the day we visited Sundara – the most Southern place of Bali. We took an adventurous trip to Jimbaran on our rented motorbikes. Whilst parking our bikes, I was immediately affected by the beautiful architecture of the restaurant. Breathtaking. Seriously. The photos don’t even show the impressive allure of the entrance. A huge fountain, a warm fire and a balancing color scheme. It was quite an experience walking to restaurant.

We were first invited to drink a cocktail at their 57-meter infinity swimming pool in front of Jimbaran Beach. Again, impressive. We came right in time to see the sunset and beautiful colored sky. I guess I don’t have to spend more words for you to understand the warm ambience we experienced.

A luxe diner was the next step to pamper us. The most amazing food ever: tuna melting in our mouths, salads being prepared in front of us, spicy lobster and not to forget.. a huge plate filled with various desserts, allowing us to try out all the entire dessert menu (picking a dessert is the hardest part for me). Pure pleasure.

It’s interesting how a restaurant or hotel can provide you a special evening – an experience to remember. If looking at the most valuable things in life, a restaurant is just a restaurant, right? But still they manage to create an exceptional experience for their guests. Like it’s art.
