In saying so guys, let me take you through the rest which are about 8 parks to complete 16 Tanzania National Parks of Tanzania.
Ruaha National Park
Situated at the central part of Tanzania this 130 kilometres park land is the largest national park in Tanzania. It is also one of largest in Africa. The park derives its name from Ruaha River though originally the word Ruaha originates from ruvaha which was used by locals to mean river. Ruaha River gives you a stunning game viewing. Ruaha national park also include the former Usangu game reserve

Expect also to enjoy a stunning view of different species of birds dominated by billed hornbill
Ruaha has the high concentration of elephants you can witness across East Africa guys.
Antelope species like kudu, sable and roan.
Endangered wild dogs, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, bats, jackals and impalas not to mention elands
Reptiles and amphibians can also be spotted in this wilderness park where different snake species, crocodiles, hippos and frogs are hosted by this virgin park. The great Ruaha river and Mzombe River will give you an outstanding view of these creatures
Ruaha is really one of most untouched and unexplored parks among Tanzania national parks
If you are the culture lover then Ruaha is one of the best to visit. It host loads of sites used for rituals, and many other like Chief Mkwawa history (the Hehe leader who killed himself so that he won’t be caught with Germans alive)
Mikumi National Park
Having drawn the comparisons with the legendary Serengeti national park, Mikumi is the 4th largest park covering 3230 km². Tanzania’s A7 highway crosses this park while Selous Game Reserve which is Africa’s largest, borders Mikumi national park in its Southern.

Mkomazi National Park
Sharing its borders with Kenyan Tsavo West national Park, Mkomazi has been used by pastoral societies mainly Maasai & Parakuyos who grazed up to 80,000 cattle by the mid 1980’s.
In the late years of 1980’s the increasing quantity of cattle was causing a serious problem in the park’s environment hence by July 1988 the pastoralists with their herds were already evicted from the park.
To do in Mkomazi
Game drives, camping, site seeing, bird watching, walking safari and hiking. You will also learn more about conservation of rhinoceros at Mkomazi rhino sanctuary.
Katavi national park
Lying in the remote southwest of Tanzania, Katavi national park is one of the quietest parks in Tanzania with densest concentrations of hippos and crocodile among all Tanzania National Parks.
Katuma River gives you a memorable view of hippos, crocodiles, elephants and buffalos.
Kitulo National Park
Are you the lover of flowers?? Established in 2012, Kitulo National Park Kitulo National Park is the land of unique flora. Locals refer the park as ‘Bustani ya Mungu’ meaning ‘The Garden of God’ kitulo is reach in plants species in all Tanzania National Parks.
What to see
Hosting more than 300 species of plants, it is worth to note that more than 30 flower species available in Kitulo national park are endemic to this park meaning that you will find them nowhere than in this southern Tanzania park
The park is also between the shining peaks of Livingston, Kipengere and Poroto mountains that give you the good hiking before doing open walking across the grasslands to enjoy bird watching & wildflowers .
Matema beach
Have you ever heard of Matema beach?? One of the East Africa’s finest fresh beaches on Lake Nyasa. It is only a half day hike from the parks across Livingstone Mountains that will bring you into this paradise beach.
Rubondo islands National Park
Being covered with about 80% of dense forest, this park is truly the taste of the wilderness of Africa. The park is in the Victoria Lake which is the world’s second largest fresh water lake and Africa’s largest lake by area as well as the source of the longest river in the world that is Nile River.
