Diet of cichlids housed in this aquarium includes Hikari cichlid staple, Julian sprung’s sea veggies, Hikari alage wafers and ocean nutrition cichlid veggie formula. In this cichlid aquarium, water treated by reverse osmosis with R/O right powder can be added to remineralize aquarium water. Additives/supplements used in African cichlid aquarium are Kent cichlid Essential Water Conditioner, Kent AF cichlid chemistry and Kent AF cichlid buffer. Water in this typical African cichlid aquarium can be tested with Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Master Test Kit (tests for pH, high range pH, ammonia, nitrite and hardness). PH of 7.8-8.5, DH of 10-15, and temperature of 72-82 Degree Fahrenheit are the ideal water parameters of African cichlid aquarium.
