LEESBURG. Fla. (CBS TAMPA)– A 17-year-old Leesburg High School student was arrested after deputies say he left a note in a classroom threatening to blow up the school.

Lake County deputies say a teacher found the note which the student claimed to be an ISIS member, as reported by News 13. The teacher immediately reported it to a school resource deputy.

“I am a [sic] ISIS member. Imma blow this [expletive] school up … everyone’s going to die!!! I’m gonna bring one bomb per building and go in each one… watch the [expletive] out!” the note read, as reported by News 13.

An official from the bomb squad came to investigate the claim. The teen was identified and admitted to writing the note. Officials have not released the name of the suspect due to his age.

Deputies said the teen claimed he was upset when he wrote the note and did not plan on anyone finding it.

The student was charged with the second-degree felony of threatening to place a destructive device.

No signs of a bomb or bomb-related materials were found in the classroom after a thorough search by deputies. Officials say there was no need for an evacuation or lock-down following the incident.
