Feeling stuck in your business? Struggling to attract new leads and grow your business via online marketing? This Digital Marketing Strategy Mentoring Programme might be the answer you were looking for. Applications are now open for September start – read on to see how it works and what you need to do to apply.
Think about your digital marketing – do any of these sound familiar?
You know that you need to be marketing your business online, but you don’t know how to do it.
You have a website but you don’t get any leads from it or any traffic to it.
You haven’t yet tried using social media, but you know it’s something that you should look into as soon as possible.
Or you have set up your profiles, but you don’t know how to use social media effectively and feel like you are wasting time on social media.
You’d like to get started with email marketing, but you have no idea where to start.
You are thinking about getting your online marketing done by someone else, but you don’t know how to brief the person well enough for it to work for you.
You have suppliers helping you with your marketing, but it isn’t working and became a drain on your resources.
You want to set up a membership site and/or a shopping cart as part of your website but it all sounds way too technical.
These are the sorts of issues and questions that my mentoring clients have when they start working with me.
Over the years, that I have been helping small business owners with their online marketing, I realised that:
>> TWEET THIS <<
Effective Digital Marketing is based around a simple process that a business owner needs to follow. This will get them more leads, prospects and clients and will help to position the business owner as an expert in their niche or local area.
However there isn’t an off-the-shelf solution to give you the “how to implement that process” in your particular industry and business. You can pick up tips and ideas from blogs and websites, but none are specific to your particular circumstances.
As an owner of a unique business, you need someone who can provide bespoke help and support to fit with your experience and situation, which also changes along with your marketing environment.
Even if you have the same question, you might be coming from a different starting point:
You have a web designer and a VA who do some of the work for you, so you would want to work on your strategy and get help with planning and delegating your online marketing activities.
You like getting your hands “dirty” and build your own website, set up and manage your social media profiles, so you want someone who will be more hands-on with you. When you get stuck with a technical issue – you can get it sorted.
Or you might be starting from the very beginning and want to invest to get it right first time – you’ve heard how much time and money you can waste getting your online marketing wrong!
So you see why a generic “how-to” blog post can never be 100% tailored to what you really need now and next month in your unique business.
There are certain features that my clients need to have for marketing mentoring to work for both of us:

A small business owner: coach, consultant, designer, developer, holistic practitioner, fitness instructor, IT specialist – basically, an entrepreneur working on your own or with a small virtual team;
Have a clear idea what your business is about – I can’t help you if you are not sure what business you need to set up;
Ready to invest in digital marketing;
Positive, motivated and ready to take action – a person who’s looking for an excuse to do something, rather than why it couldn’t be done;
Focused on building relationships – as digital marketing is all about relationships with your fans and followers;
Committed to delivering and getting the work done – there will be tasks for you to complete every week, and your marketing won’t happen without those. If we create your marketing strategy, it’ll be up to you to get it implemented.
What I offer to my marketing mentoring clients:

Digital Marketing Strategy Mentoring – What you get
Each programme is completely customised around you and your business needs, although built around my “7 Simple Steps to Online Mastery” eCourse.
Mentoring is designed as a 6 Month Programme – because marketing is an ongoing process, not something you get done and paid for today and forget for the rest of your business life.
From experience, 6 months is an average time it takes to turn your business and marketing around, build relationships and get strong results.
During the programme you will get:
Marketing Plan creation for your business:
our first priority when working together is to create an effective Marketing Plan for your business.
we achieve this by having an extra session to look deep into your business needs and priorities, your goals and dreams, your existing team, your current marketing results – and put your 6-month marketing goals in writing.
6 x monthly Marketing Action meetings – 90min each (1-to-1 on Skype):
meetings are bespoke to your situation to ensure that you have what you need to really get the most from the sessions and your time working with me.
your daily, weekly and monthly actions and goals (Marketing Action Plan) to implement before the next session, so that you know exactly what you need to do and when, to achieve results.
focused training on marketing tools and techniques to help with implementation of your MAP.
video recording of each meeting for you to keep, that you can also share with your team.
6 x monthly Marketing Review meetings – 30min each (1-to-1 on Skype):
these meetings help you to catch up with any problems or questions you’ve had since the initial Marketing Action meeting.
it can be run as a Q&A session or a hands-on training on any marketing tools you’ve recenly started using.
Ongoing email support:
I am there when you need me; you don’t get stuck between meetings or lose motivation to keep going and implementing your Action Plan.
Virtual Marketing Academy access (marketing resources library):
Collection of templates, checklists, resources and downloads available online.
7 Steps to Online Marketing Mastery eCourse access.
Monthly “Mastery” webinar focussing on a specific tool, issue, strategy.
Webinar recordings also available in the VMA for you to watch again – if you can’t attend live.
Group support and encouragement:
NEW THIS YEAR: private Facebook group for you to network and interact with other mentees – supporting and motivating each other.
It’s entirely optional for you to take part, but will help you ask for help, share ideas and make useful connections with other small business owners like you.
You might be wondering how much all that would cost you?
Think about it as an investment – you invest in your business in order to get more leads and clients. What would getting 2 new clients per month mean to your bottom line? How much extra would you earn?
Your investment for Digital Marketing Strategy Mentoring is either £580 per month (+VAT if your business is registered in the UK) or £2780 in total, if you choose to pay upfront and save 20% (+VAT if you are in the UK).
How to get started
In order for us to decide whether marketing mentoring with me is a good fit for you & your business and for me & my business – there is an application process:
You will need to complete an application form in advance of our initial conversation to give me some background to your business and current results.
I’ll email you the link to my online diary. You can then book in a 60min complimentary session with me. There is no obligation at this stage to proceed – we will talk about what you are looking to achieve with online marketing and social media and how I can able to help you. We will then take one small specific issue or problem you have and work on that in detail, so you can get a flavour of the “real thing”.
You can then decide if you want to work together and if marketing mentoring will be right for your circumstances.
All our work comes with a double guarantee, so there is NO RISK on your part:
30 days no-questions-asked cancellation and refund guarantee – if after the first month working together you decide it’s not for you – you can cancel our mentoring agreement and get a full refund of what you paid minus PayPal/Stripe fees.
90 days marketing results guarantee – if you diligently follow the process I recommend for 60 days, attend your mentoring sessions and complete your weekly Marketing Action Plans, but you don’t see the results, you can get a full refund for your mentoring programme of what you paid, minus the PayPal/Stripe fees.
In short, if you don’t like it after giving it a try – there is no risk and you’ll get your money back. If you give it all you have and follow what I teach, yet there are no results – you will get your money back. Why can I offer this guarantee? Because I firmly believe that by following my trusted system that we will customise for your business you WILL see results even after 90 days.
Frequently asked questions about Digital Marketing Strategy Mentoring:
1. Do I have to be a registered company to benefit from this? Or have a minimum number of employers?
No you can be self-employed or a registered company, a partnership or have charitable status. You can work completely by yourself or already have a small virtual team. During our time together we’ll look at using your time effectively for marketing and hiring help to run your day-to-day marketing activities if needed.
2. Do I need to have a well-established business?
No you could have a relatively new business, as well as a more established business. As long as your programme investment doesn’t put you in any financial difficulty you can take part. Obviously if you are a new business without established cashflow you will need to consider how you will be able to pay the programme fees, until you get to a more established level. Fortunately, with our marketing strategies and Action Plans, this will happen for you much faster. However if you haven’t even got an idea yet for what your business will do and offer – this programme isn’t for you.
3. Do I need to have all social media and website set up, before I can join?
No you can get started before your digital marketing tools are set and ready – we’ll work together on getting your social media presence, email marketing system and website/blog created. You might actually save money by doing right first time, rather than having to pay extra to fix existing website in order to get it more marketing-friendly.
4. What if I don’t like the programme after I join? Or I don’t get any results and waste money?
We offer our double-guarantee. So if you join but decide it’s not for you within 30 days, you will get your money back. If you work hard for 90 days and follow what I teach you, but don’t see any results – you will get your money back. With that there is no risk that you will waste money on marketing that doesn’t work. You do need to work for those 90 days though – show up for your sessions, complete Marketing Action Plans, implement what we agreed. Without action, there won’t be results – and not because of the programme.
5. How can I pay?
We accept bank transfer, Paypal or Stripe. You can use debit or credit cards, direct transfer (for UK clients) or your Paypal account to pay for the programme. If you pay upfront for the whole programme you’ll also get 20% discount. If you choose to go with monthly payments, you agree to make all 6 payments, unless you cancel within your No-Risk Guarantee time.
6. How can I join?
First, complete an online application form. Then I will email you a link to my online diary to book a slot. You will have a no-obligation complimentary 60-min call with me to discuss your needs and if marketing mentoring is right for you. You’ll also get a taster of what real mentoring will be like. If you choose to proceed at this stage – I’ll send you an invoice and further instructions.
7. Do I need any special IT equipment or be very computer-savvy to benefit from this?
Not at all, as long as you have access to Skype and a headset (for our 1-2-1 calls), email, Internet access, have used Facebook for personal reasons – you are good to go. Marketing mentoring includes an element of hands-on tech training for tools and systems we’ll be using, so you don’t need to know any of them from the outset.
8. I’m not based in the UK, can I still apply?
Yes, I work with clients all over the world: US, Australia, Europe, Russia, and the UK. As long as you can speak English and your marketing is English-based, we can work together.
9. I’m confused between having a VA, a marketing VA, an online business manager, and marketing mentoring. Which one is right for me?
It depends. A VA (virtual assistant) could help your business with a variety of tasks including marketing, admin, email & diary management, as well as personal tasks. A marketing VA will focus specifically on marketing, social media and SEO – but typically you will need to guide them on what you need them to get done, therefore you need a marketing strategy. Marketing mentoring will help you create a strategy and implement it with the help of your VA. An online business manager will oversee your VAs, web designers, SEO team – and usually will be qualified enough to offer your some marketing mentoring element as part of their service. However if your business isn’t large enough to warrant hiring an OBM, yet you need support and guidance with marketing (either to do it yourself, or to direct your VA) – marketing mentoring could be right for you.
10. I’ve got some other question about the programme, what do I do?
Sure thing, get in touch on the Contact page. I’ll get back to you within 2 working days with a full answer.
Your investment for Digital Marketing Strategy Mentoring is either £580 per month (+VAT if your business is registered in the UK) or £2780 in total, if you choose to pay upfront and save 20% (+VAT if you are in the UK).
