It seems like just yesterday that we were getting excited for our 300,000th order celebration, but time flies and it’s actually been just a little more than a year since that momentous order. Apparently the orders fly along with the time, because we’re ready for another milestone and a great celebration to go with it. We’re closing in on order number 400,000, and the lucky smoker who places order #400,000 is in for a serious treat. You might remember our last milestone order celebration when we tripled order #300,000, giving that fortunate gentleman three times what he ordered. This time around, we’re doing things a little bit differently. We carry an enormous number of different items on our website, and we have customers with a huge variety of smoking preferences. In order to make sure that the customer who places order #400,000 is absolutely thrilled, we’re going to put together a customized gift package personally selected by our experts based on the contents of the order, and if applicable the customer’s order history with us. We’ve smoked it all, and giving suggestions to help find someone a new favorite smoke is something we take great pride in. The customer who places order number 400,000 is going to get buried in freebies that we expect will match his or her own unique palate. Even more exciting news from the P&C world, we’ve just announced and begun selling tickets for our annual smoke-fest known as HabanaPalooza! This is something we all look forward to year round, and no one who goes can ever stop talking about it. I may be biased, but I think this is one of the premier events in the cigar industry. This year attendees will walk away with 25-30 free cigars from a bunch of the best brands in the industry, and they’ll also enjoy free food & booze from the Capitol Region’s best restaurants and breweries. The prizes will again be awesome, it’s going to be tough for the Grand Prize to top last year’s trip to Honduras to tour the Rocky Patel cigar factory, but I’m sure the mystery grand prize Scotty has picked out is going to be incredible. Attendees will get to rub elbows with a slew of cool industry people like brand owners and reps (including our wonderful Rocky Patel rep, Amazing Race super-star Max Bichler!) as well as the HabanaPalooza girls, including “Miss AVO” who is Miss March in our Cigar Calendar and is currently featured on the front of our homepage. Lastly, I can’t emphasize enough how much fun it is to fire up a big, fat stogie right underneath the “no smoking” signs that pepper the Washington Avenue Armory where the event is held. Obviously the majority of attendees will be from the Albany area, but I wanted to include this notification in my e-mail for all of you since Albany is an easy drive from anywhere and this event is truly worth a road trip. There are a limited number of tickets available, and we expect a relatively speedy sellout, so if you’re thinking about making the drive here for this incredible event, get your tickets early.
