Grammy Award winning recording artist Beenie Man will perform at the 18th annual St Kitts Music Festival, which will be held from Thursday,

June 26 to Saturday, June 28, 2014. Beenie Man has dominated the dancehall scene since his number one hits, “Who Am I” and “Romie.” Today, the musician from the heartland of Jamaica continues to be one of Dancehall’s most successful artists. He has often collaborated on top international hits such as “Feel It Boy” with Janet Jackson and “Girls Dem Sugar” with Mya.
“I expect that Beenie Man will do what he has done every time he has performed in St. Kitts in the past – electrify the crowd and make an indelible mark on the event,” states Ricky Skerritt, St. Kitts Minister of Tourism & International Transport.
Joining Beenie Man for this year’s music festival is Chronixx who has already built an impressive musical catalogue, with songs such as “Behind Curtain,” Tell Mi Now,” “Here Comes Trouble,” “African Heritage” and his patriotic Jamaican anthem, “Smile Jamaica.”
Now in its 18th year, the St. Kitts Music Festival attracts both locals and visitors alike. It features a wide range of musical styles on the popular market, including R&B, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Soca, Calypso, Gospel and Contemporary music. Past artists have included such prominent acts as John Legend, Lionel Richie, T-Pain, Michael Bolton, K.C. and the Sunshine Band, UB40’s Ali Campbell, Wyclef Jean, Ne-Yo, Air Supply, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Shaggy, Toni Braxton, The Commodores, Dionne Warwick, Billy Ocean, Sean Paul, Boyz II Men, King Konris, Stephen Marley, Regina Belle, Maxi Priest, Beres Hammond, Roberta Flack, Biggie Irie, Bunny Wailer and Lord Nelson.
