VICE PRESIDENT POSITION #11392ENROLLMENT AND STUDENT DEVELOPMENT

Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a Master’s degree and a minimum of ten years of related work experience in a leadership role overseeing enrollment services in a higher education setting.

Responsibilities: This position will oversee and manage student registration services, student records, admissions, recruitment, academic advising, financial aid, assessment services, judicial affairs, student activities, career services, counseling and student disability services, marketing and publications, veterans and regional campus services in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations. This position will provide leadership to all enrollment and student development departments in the continuous evaluation and evolution of best practices in enrollment management. The employee will oversee and direct daily operations of area of responsibility and provide support to the President as well as the Academic and fiscal Vice Presidents, academic AVP's, deans and departmental chairs as required. He or she will be responsible for all student development services for all campuses and centers. Responsibilities will also include managing institutional college appeals; overseeing the non-academic portion of the catalog, and coordinating the academic calendar. This position will direct the college response to the Florida performance funding guidelines as they refer to retention, graduation, time to degree, and job placement. This position will develop, present, and defend operating budget requirements for areas of responsibility; oversee, review, and approve expenditures; and prepare financial forms and reports. In addition, this position will develop and implement enrollment related policies and procedures and enforce them as required; keep staff/faculty abreast of changes; serve as liaison for areas of responsibility with other individuals, groups, and organizations outside the College community; and develop, implement, and provide administrative management for long range plans and programs for area of responsibility. The individual will conduct staff, committee, or other professional meetings (including members of the President’s senior executive staff and Cabinet, retention committees and state wide professional groups) to exchange information, or discuss issues or projects. He or she will attend professional seminars or conferences to improve professional skills. This position will also perform special projects as directed by the President.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The successful candidate must have excellent organizational skills and leadership ability. The successful candidate must be comfortable with technology including the Microsoft Office Suite. The applicant must have a strong knowledge of computers, peripherals, and software programs. The candidate should have experience and working knowledge of a comprehensive student information system. The successful candidate must also be able to function effectively in a team environment and have the ability to grasp concepts quickly.

Salary: This is a twelve (12) month administrative position with a competitive salary dependent upon knowledge, skills and experience. This position is eligible for Senior Management designation by the Florida Retirement System (FRS).
