Scout IIIA Ballistic Helmet from Tacprogear Black
Tacprogear Black, a unique line of “American Made-Mission Specific gear,” have announced the release of the Scout IIIA ballistic helmet, their first new product for 2014.
The Scout IIIA helmet from Tacprogear Black is a lightweight, multi-impact UHMWPE (Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) helmet perfect for a number of different tactical scenarios. In addition to being developed with high V50 ballistic performance, the Scout comes with optional Team Wendy padding for optimized comfort. The Scout IIIA also features a tough, durable 4 position rail for head borne accessories.
The new Scout IIIA helmet, which is designed for use by US Military, Law Enforcement, Department of Defense and Security Personnel, has a wide range of fragmentation protection options, including V50 ratings from 1750 fps (64 gr RCC) to 4075 fps (2 gr RCC) with shot spacing per STANAG 2920 (17 gr) and US MIL STD 662F. In addition, there are four different suspension systems available: standard Tacprogear suspension, Team Wendy padding, SKYDEX and D30 helmet pads.
The Scout IIIA is available in a number of different sizes, weights and colors. For example, there is a Medium/Large (M/L) configuration, and a Large/Extra Large (L/XL) variant, depending on the pad and suspension configuration. This product weighs in a 2.45 pounds (ultra lightweight), 2.9 pounds (lightweight) and 3.2 pounds (regular). There are four standard colors available: Black, Desert or Coyote Tan, OD Green and UN Blue. In addition, there are over 100 custom water transfer patterns available to the end-user, including MultiCam, Kryptek and many more. Manufacturer suggested retail price for this product is not yet known.
In addition to the Scout IIIA, there are two other helmets available from Tacprogear Black: the Tacprogear Personal Armor System Ground Troops (PASGT) helmet, and the Tacprogear Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH).
