Microsoft Surface Pro 4 – the first 48 hours

Now that the Surface Pro 4 has been on the market for a while, and we’ve been putting it to the test in every way we can think of for our full review, we decided to hurry up and get you a little tease of the device. Simply put, we wanted to share our thoughts and initial opinions on our first 48 hours with the Surface Pro 4. As a flagship Windows 10 tablet, that easily doubles as a laptop, we were very impressed with it. Come check it out, we’ve got lots to say, and most of it is good.

Black Friday deals

For those of us in the United States, November has something I like to call Turkey Day, but it is properly known as Thanksgiving. For many, it seems a stark contrast to the family oriented peaceful Thanksgiving that the very next day be a mad house of shopping and deals, called Black Friday. You didn’t need the background story, you don’t need to be in the U.S. to know of or take advantage of Black Friday deals. This year had a great number of tablets on sale, and we were sure to share the best ones that we could find.

Best of all, Black Friday bleeds over into Cyber Monday, which offers many sales throughout the week. That means, if you are reading this early in December, there may still be some great tablet sales to be found. Hurry before they are all gone.

New additions included the NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet K1, ASUS ZenPad S 8.0 and the new $50 Amazon Kindle Fire 7. Best Windows tablets

Looking for a Windows powered tablet instead of an Android tablet? No worries, we’ve got you covered there as well. This list is not focused on a budget, so we are talking about the best tablets we can find that are worth their price or serve a specific purpose. Topping the list is the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, a device we are enjoying using, but more importantly, a device that is doing an excellent job of showcasing just what Microsoft is doing with Windows 10. Check out the list and get ready to explore the practicality of a PC locked into the convenience of a mobile device.

Survey says that most of us are not buying tablets

With a staggering 83% of the vote, a major survey concluded that most of us do not plan to purchase a new tablet this year. Instead, they hope to win a new tablet from our great giveaways! I’m kidding, let’s just keep our giveaways for our faithful readers. If you are interested in learning why consumers are not buying tablets, check out the article – you may be surprised to know that most are not buying because the tablet they have now is good enough. What are your thoughts on that?

Keep in mind that the survey took place before Amazon’s Fire 7 began selling for just $35 this Black Friday.

NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet K1

We mentioned this above, but we must say it again, NVIDIA has re-released their SHIELD Tablet and it is absolutely worth your consideration. The New NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet K1 is named as such due to the use of NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 SoC. Bottom line, we have a well equipped tablet here that does away with some of the frivolities in order to save you money. If you can live without a supplied power charger and cord, this $200 tablet may just be for you.

Apple iPad Pro – the first 48 hours

You’ll never guess what else we have in hand for review. Or maybe you will. Here is the new Apple iPad Pro, a 12.9-inch iOS 9 powered device that is the biggest and best that Apple has to offer. Just like the Surface Pro 4, we are taking our time to produce the most accurate full review that we can, but that is no reason for you to have to be left out in the dark. Here is our first impressions of the iPad Pro and our thoughts on the device after our first 48 hours of use.

It is a curious device, at least in terms of falling into an existing tablet category, but we are liking what we are seeing so far, and we think you will too.
