Editors bonus entry:

Name – Lord of the Rings: Legends

Price – Free

Our Rating – 7.5/10

Let me be frank, this is not going to be the best card game you play on Android, but it has two great things going for it. First, Lord of the Rings: Legends is fairly true to its name, build your teams out of your favorite characters from the books and movies. Frodo, Gandalf, the Great Eagles, even the Nazgul and more are all at your disposal.

The second interesting feature, and the main reason this app is on the list here today, is that it, for all intents, is a card game, but you never actually see a card in the interface. As you will see in the screenshot below, the devs have taken the time to make this game look like a side scrolling RPG in the battle sequences, and as a FPS in the exploration mode.

Again, let me be clear, the above two aspects are the only reason this game is on the list. The minimal game storyline, fairly annoying popup advertisements for in-app purchases and general game mechanics may likely drive you away, but hey, you get to play as your favorite characters and the game really does look great, for a card game.

With so many card game styles, never mind actual card game apps, to choose from in the Google Play Store, which are your favorite card games to play on your Android tablet? Do let us know in the comments section below.
