Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 users already know that there is no official kitkat updates available in future for S2. 4.1.2 Jelly Bean was the last official android update for samsung i9100 variant . Samsung S II still count as a best smartphone .This tutorial is about how to update Galaxy S2 to android kitkat 4.4.4. SlimSaber is Kitkat based unofficial Custom Rom for Galaxy S2 i9100. There are many Custom ROM's are available in market but the Slimsaber is most stable kitkat version which I have personally experienced.
Preparations .
Samsung S2 must be rooted before installation. There is many easy method available to root your galaxy smartphone . If you already have #SU icon in your phone then you do not need to root it its already rooted.
You must install CWM Recovery (Clockworkmod) before installing custom rom.
Backup your data . All the data will be erased . This custom rom and tutorial is only for Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 . Do not apply this ROM on other S2 Variants. Wrong selection will destroy the boot and may result broken or dead device.

CWM Recovery must be compatible to the android version you are flashing on your smartphone. This CWM Recovery version 6.0.4 is compatible with Android 4.4.4 .
Enter into download mode . Use ODIN flashing utility to install CWM Recovery which is already in .tar extension. Download CWM Recovery . Open Odin , Select AP and select CWM Recovery.tar. Click on start and wait for few minutes to let it done. When you see green "Pass" button on ODIN , you are done.

How to update Samsung Galaxy S2 to Kitkat 4.4.4.
Download SlimSaber Custom Rom. Download GApps. (Google Apps).Copy both files into Micro SD Card and insert into smartphone.Now you need to enter into CWM recovery for further installation. Turn off S2 completely . Hold Volume UP + Home button and press power button. On display leave power button and home button but keep pressing Volume Up button until you see the blue screen Recovery menu. Use volume up / down to move and power button to enter.
Select wipe data / factory reset .
Select wipe cache partition .
Now select advanced and select wipe dalvik cache.
Select go back and select install zip . select sd1 which is your memory card.
Select SlimSaber .zip file and press enter by pressing power button.
Installation of Custom Rom will be take few minutes . You will see all installation log as shown in picture. After successful installation you will see message " install from sdcard complete".
Go back and select g-apps.zip and press enter.
A few more lines will be run on your smartphone screen and will install all google apps (Play Store, Gmail,Google services and etc).
When complete , Go back and select reboot. 1st boot will take some time do not panic. Complete the first setup .
You are done. Enjoy the Kitkat 4.4.4 on your Samsung S2.
