2016-12-29

2016 was another great year at Tabernacle of Glory (TG). We can say that, by God’s grace, we are going from glory to glory. Not our own glory but God’s. He is the one who allowed us to go through this challenging year and to grow in the midst of difficulties. Yes, we grew, spiritually and numerically. To the Lord be all the Glory! Here are some TG’s achievements for the past year.

Tabernacle of Glory started off the year 2016 with the series of events titled “12 Nights of Worship”. Each night was filled with passionate worship and fervent prayers. Not to mention the anointed and powerful teachings delivered by our Pastor Gregory Toussaint.

During this series of event, we had the honor of receiving well-known guests and God’s servants such as Donnie McClurkin. Senior Pastor of the Perfecting Faith Church in New York, and one of the top-selling Gospel Music Artists in the world, the famous Christian singer delivered on January 1st an amazing moment of Worship as well as a wonderful sermon. Another famous guest, the Latin-American singer Ingrid Rosario, led the audience into another dimension of Worship at our multicultural night (Jan 3rd).

The New Shekinah App

In the same month of January, Shekinah Radio launched its new app, Shekinah App. It has been quite a significant blessing to God’s people. It came out with a lot of new features such as the Glory Wall (G-Wall). Through the G-Wall, the users are now able to post their prayer requests, share their devotions, and most importantly intercede for one another. The Shekinah App users can listen to the radio in four languages (Creole, French, English and Spanish), acquire Pastor Greg’s new uplifting books or stream live Tabernacle of Glory’s services.

TG Expansion

2016 was also a year of expansion for TG. Located in North Miami, Tabernacle of Glory is not only a multicultural church but it is also a multidimensional church. Three new campuses have joined the TG family:   New York, Boston and Cap-Haitian (Haiti).  On January 7th, more than 2,000 people attended the inaugural ceremony of the Haiti’s campus. The pastors of three TG Campuses (Rimsky Toussaint, Bornéon Accimé and Elie Casséus) were confirmed during an ordination ceremony that was held Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Bank United Center, Coral Gables, Miami.

Empowered Young Adults

From Feb 12 to 15, at Lake Placid, Florida, the Young Adult Ministry (YAM) of all the intercampuses of Tabernacle of Glory went on a life-changing weekend retreat where they had an encounter with the Holy Spirit. Many young adults came from all over the US, such as New York, Boston, Washington DC, Georgia, and our home state Florida. It was a week-end filled with spiritual teachings, workshops, salvation and rededication to Christ. The young adults were blessed with tons of wisdom from our different spiritual fathers: Pastor Gregory Toussaint (Miami), Pastor Bornéon Accimé (Boston) and Pastor Rimsky Toussaint (New York).

Honor

2016 was a year of honor. On January 7th, the Haitian- American television, Island TV, granted the title of “Person of the Year” to our Senior Pastor, Rev. Gregory Toussaint. The Person of the Year Award rewards every year individuals who make a difference in the Haitian community. On July 24th, Pastor Gregory Toussaint received the keys to the city of North Miami on Sunday during a special ceremony at the North Miami Senior High School Gymnasium. The mayor of North Miami, Smith Joseph officially handed over the keys to the city of North Miami to Pastor Toussaint. Tabernacle of Glory also honored many personalities of the city of North Miami.

Life in the Holy of holies

From March 20th to 27th, we had our yearly Easter Revival titled “Life in the Holy of Holies”. In the occasion, Pastor Gregory Toussaint provided a powerful teaching on the Jewish Tabernacle presented as a prayer model and a symbol of Jesus Christ in the Old Testament. James 5:16 said, “the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective”. The revival ended on Easter Sunday with a climactic finale. During the week of the revival, many souls came to Christ and many rededicated their lives to Christ.

Arise and Shine!

After ushering in the divine presence during the Easter revival, the time had come to “Arise and shine!” Such was the theme of our 40-Days of Fasting which unfolded from June 19th to July 31st at North Miami Senior High School. With powerful teachings and prayers, praise and worship, many received miraculous healing, financial breakthrough, and many were set free from bondage. Thousands of people gave their life to Christ. Hundreds of new members joined the TG family. Being a multicultural ministry, our audience was loaded with various races and nationalities, African Americans, Caucasians, Hispanics and, of course, Haitians. Translation devices were available. Our conference ended with 4 days of passionate worship, teachings and miraculous testimonies. The end of the conference was marked by several performances from special guests such as Delly Benson, Ingrid Rosario and Donnie McClurkin. Pastor Yvan Castanou from Impact Christian Center (France), Pastor Ron Haus who have pastored churches in California for over nineteen years, Pastor Reinhard Bonnke, who has been an evangelist and missionary since 1967, and last our very own Pastor Gregory Toussaint, senior pastor of Tabernacle of Glory, were the speakers at this powerful event. This conference was surely a life-changing experience.

Ten New Books published

Pastor Gregory Toussaint published ten new titles in English and French during the Arise and Shine 2016 Conference. He signed the new books at Bank United Center last July. Published first as e-books, these books are now available in print. Among the ten new printed books are: I know Who I Am, Unshakeable Faith, Finding the love of your life, The Fruit of the Spirit, The Secrets of the Kingdom etc. the best seller “Jezebel Unveiled” was reissued this year in French, English, and Spanish. The forum opposed two candidates running for the open Miami-Dade County Public School Board seat, District 1. This passionate debate was moderated by Miami Herald’s renowned journalist Jacqueline Charles. The participants asked many questions concerning the education of their children.

“Anointed” Youth Retreat

Tabernacle of Glory’s Youth Ministry spent their Labor Day week-end last September in the presence of the Almighty.  “Anointed”, the theme of the Youth retreat, was surely a blessing to each youth. It was a three-day retreat filled with the baptism of the Holy Spirit, salvation, spiritual encounter with the Holy Spirit, healings and several other miracles.
