Hey friends!  I have discovered the perfect hair clip, and I am super excited to tell you all about it today!  I am totally a girl who loves to wear her hair up and out of my face (as evidenced by the many fashion posts I write on the blog), and I know that many of you are too!  Or maybe some of you wish you could wear your hair up, but you gt a headache when you do.  If you are that girl, you have come to the right place today- and that is no lie!  This hair clip is called the Flexi-clip, and it's made by a company called Lilla Rose.  Read on to see some of the ways I have worn it so far, and to find out more about it, and at the bottom of this post, I will be giving one of them away to one lucky girl who will fall in love with it, just as I have!

As a blogger, I frequently receive offers to review different products and work with different brands (yes, it's a huge perk of blogging, but it takes work to get there!)  Some of the brands and products are not a fit for me, and I will pass on the offer.  But if it is a product that I love or that I believe my readers will love, I am happy to review a product and write about it.  One day over the summer, I received an email from Diana, who is a consultant for Lilla Rose, and she told me a little about the products and offered to meet with me and let me try some, do a review for the blog, and she even offered to host a giveaway to my readers!  I agreed to meet with her because she is a local reader, and I felt like her product fit into my niche of posting about fashion.  Although, I have to admit, I really wasn't expecting to love these hair clips the way I did!

I invited Diana to bring her products over to my house so that I could see them and practice using them.  These Flexi-Clips take a little practice to get the hang of, and Diana and her daughter helped me put it in the first few times.  It's not the kind of clip that you can just pick up and put in without learning how first.  But after you know how, it starts to become second nature.  And one thing I have to say about them is that once they are in your hair correctly, you WILL NOT need to tweak it for the entire time you are wearing it, and for me that is huge!  I usually have to mess with my hair fasteners several times during the day, but not with these!  In this first group of pictures I am wearing my hair in a messy bun, which is one of my favorite ways to wear it.

Lilla Rose, and Diana, has a huge selection and variety of these flexi clips, and she let me choose one to keep.  I chose this one called the Celtic knot because I thought it would go with a lot of different things.  But there are a few more that I really want, and I will show you those a little further down in the post as well.

I kid you not when I say that the only thing holding my hair up in this do is the Flexi Clip, and one little bobby pin that is in there just to tame a few stray hairs.  And when it is in, my hair feels very secure too.  Not like it is about to fall out all day.  It feels tight, but not too tight, and I can shake my hair around as much as I want, and it stays in place perfectly.  I honestly don't think I can explain how comfortable this thing is to wear.  You just have to try it for yourself to understand.  And at the end of the day when I take it out?  My head doesn't hurt at all!  If you wear your hair up like I do, You understand what I mean, when you take you hair down after having it up for hours, your head kind of hurts, it is tender and a little sore.  Well, not with this Flexi Clip!

Here is a little excerpt about the Flexi Clip straight from the website:

Lilla Rose is proud to introduce to you the Flexi Clip, one of the most sophisticated hair barrettes ever made. With its unique design, flexibility, comfort and our plethora of motifs to accommodate every fashionista, you will be surprised at how much you come to love the Flexi. A brand new style is released each month and sold exclusively during that time while supplies last. The Flexi Clip is available in seven different sizes for a variety of up-do’s and hair types. Instructional sizing charts and videos can be found on the website for your convenience. Made with music wire, the Flexi is sure to bend and adjust to your specific hair type for a secure hold!

The picture below is from the Lilla Rose website- this is the Celtic Knot that I am wearing in all of these pictures.

My Flexi Clip is a large, and I have shoulder length, very thick, and coarse hair.  If you have a question as to which size you would need, you can watch this informative video that will help you determine the size that is right for you.  Here is my Flexi Clip styled another way, I believe on the Lilla Rose website they call this tails up!

I'm still experimenting and finding new ways to fix my hair using my Flexi Clip, and I really loved the way I wore it this past weekend, but unfortunately I did not have an opportunity to photograph it. It was basically the same as the messy bun you see in the first set of pictures, except I wore it up a lot higher on my head.  Some other alternative ways to style you hair with the Flexi Clip are ponytail, French twists, half-ups, buns...casual to fancy...camping to weddings.

Here is a way I styled it with a half up look.  This day I curled my hair around the bottom half.  This Flexi Clip is one of those items where practice makes perfect.  The more comfortable I get with maneuvering it, the better my styles have been turning out.

The Flexi Clips will hold nearly any type of hair:  thick, thin, coarse, fine, straight, curly, The most important thing is to find the right size for your hair.  If you live locally, in addition to watching the video, Diana is also willing to come to you and you can host a party if you like!  You and your friends could experience them for yourselves and you could even earn free and half price products.  These clips are made using music wire and very strong metal, and they are patented, so you will not find them anywhere else! They also come with an awesome guarantee- 90 days on sizing and one year on defective products.

Before I wrap up this post and get to the giveaway, I wanted to show you some of the other Flexi Clips that I just love, and some other ways you can style them.  these pictures are all from the Lilla Rose website.  This is the Dark Camel one, and probably the next one that I want to get.  I like it so much because I think it would look good with my hair color.

I love this hair style below, but I think she probably has longer hair than I do.  I think this style would look great for long hair!  This is the Black Flexi Clip.

I also think this little gold owl is so cute, especially for Fall.  This Flexi Clip is called Hoot.  This is an example of just a basic half up do.  My clip is too large for me to wear it this way, I would need a smaller one for this style.  One thing I like about Lilla Rose is that they come out with a new style each month, so that is very fun to know that there is always something new around the corner!

What do you think of these Flexi Clips?  I really was so excited to share them with you today, because I just love mine so much!  I wouldn't have agreed to write a post about them if I could not honestly say that I love them.  I think they just might be my favorite hair clip ever!  And I am hoping to add a few more to my collection very soon too.  They also have some other products I tried the day Diana came to visit, that I also loved, but that is for another post.  I hope to partner with Diana again very soon to show it to you!  Are you ready for a giveaway?  One of you are going to win a free Flexi Clip of your choice up to a $17 retail value.
