This weekend was a busy one, but an especially busy one for Miss Adeline! This weekend consisted of a lot of “firsts” for her, and she loved it! We packed a ton of activity into a small amount of time, and by last night she was one very overtired little girl!
To sum things up, here’s a quick photo dump.
Friday night:
We napped. And by we, I mean Adeline. Currently I get off early on Fridays, and when it was time for her last nap of the day, I decided to be selfish and basically force her to nap on mama. I usually rock her down and put her in her crib, but I curled up on the couch with her, and thankfully managed to get her to sleep on me and every ounce of my heart melted into a puddle. She slept on me for a little over two hours! It was the first time she’s passed out on me like that in months, so I was very appreciative of the extra snuggles!
Saturday:
We visited family out of town and got to swim with Adeline’s cousins and one of her fabulous aunties. It was the first time she’s floated around in a big pool and though she seemed very chill and curious the whole time, she definitely enjoyed it! She is for sure a water baby!
Saturday night:
I spent the majority of the afternoon and rest of the day second shooting a wedding while Adam kept Adeline. Exhausting doesn’t even begin to describe it. I’m definitely NOT in wedding shape, or mode anymore, and it reaffirmed my decision to drop them from my services! However, the wedding was ridiculously gorgeous, and I ended up knowing a few of the wedding party members and several of the wedding guests.
Sunday:
Adeline isn’t pulling up yet, but she is certainly thinking about it! Must to my surprise! I walked into the nursery to her on her knees, grasping the crib rails, bouncing up and down like she wanted to stand. AHHHHHHH IT HAS BEGUN!!!!!! It was the first time I’d seen her do that, and I am guessing that this next month is going to be a game changer!
Adeline also got to experience her first church potluck! I think maybe she went to one when she was tiny tiny, but she probably slept in her carseat the whole time. This time though she was ALL ABOUT IT, and even got to eat a bowl of sweet potatoes all to herself! She is her mother’s daughter – never one to pass up free food.
Sunday night:
For dinner, to go along with her bananas, she tried strawberries for the first time. I put them in her little mesh eater thing, and at first she seemed to like it, but before too long it was obvious she was NOT a strawberry girl. Broke my heart a little bit. I’m hoping they’ll grow on her! I snapped most of this escapade if you care to watch – @sarah_ingle1.
And for bath time, we broke out the duck tub!! Partaaaaaayyy!! She splashed and splashed and splashed, and wore her little booty out. She’s always loved bath time, but now I think she’s going to be extra excited for that time of night!
