MPP Mediatec Broadcast Holding AB (Mediatec Broadcast) has confirmed its purchase of Finland’s leading company of technical production services, FW FilmWorks. The combined turnover of the companies will be more than 60 million euros.
The founders and owners of FW FilmWorks Oy., Marko Viitanen and Jukka Lehtonen, will sell 100% of shares to Mediatec Broadcast. With this transaction, the name of FW FilmWorks will change to Mediatec Broadcast Finland OY.
“This deal was a natural progression of a long-term successful cooperation with Mediatec Broadcast. “The special skills and international contacts of FW FilmWorks are a perfect match with Mediatec Broadcast’s product range. To me personally, this is an important transaction and something that I have been striving for to accomplish for several years,” says Paul Henriksen, CEO of Mediatec Broadcast.
Previous owners Viitanen and Lehtonen will retain their present positions at Mediatec Broadcast Finland, and the company will continue its operations as today.
After this transaction MPP Mediatec Broadcast Holding AB will consist of: Mediatec Broadcast Sweden AB, Mediatec Broadcast AS, Media Netwerk AS, MPP Mediatec Broadcast Germany GmbH, Mediatec Switzerland AG and Mediatec Broadcast Finland Oy.
