My plan for Survivehive has always been to share my experiences learning survival skills, and preparing for emergencies, and that remains the same. However, lately I have received more and more emails asking for my opinion on certain products such as:

What bug out bag do you recommend for starting our 72 hour kit?

Or

What’s a good flashlight use for EDC (Every Day Carry)?

I prefer to do in-depth product reviews for individual gear items, but obviously I haven’t reviewed every product available, or even every category of product. So for some time I considered how I can put together a list of great items, without being too salesman-like.

Then it hit me… I’ll open up a “Survival Store” on Survivhive, with a consolidation of products sold by Amazon.

How is this not salesman-like?

Well, it kind of is, but here’s the thing: The link to the Survival Store will be on the menu bar. If you want to look for some excellent survival and prepping products, you can go click on that link. If you don’t want to, you don’t have to. Further, I don’t have a stockpile of items to sell for a profit. I don’t have a physical store-front. This is simply a bunch of relevant products from Amazon brought into one store for you to browse.

Now, yes Amazon does give me a very small percentage of the sales referred to them, but in Survivehive’s existence that has equated to about $17.00 (not even enough to cover one month of web hosting) so it’s not like I’m getting rich over here. :)

So, how does this thing work?

I picked over 100 products from Amazon and put them in the Survival Store. You can browse, read the Amazon reviews, add items to your shopping cart, etc… When you’re don’e adding items to your cart, you can checkout. When you click “Proceed To Checkout”, you are redirected to Amazon, and the items you picked are automatically added to your Amazon Shopping Cart!

Who are you, and why should I trust you?

You shouldn’t! Weird to say, right? But really, few of you personally know me, and it’s only smart to be skeptical in today’s dog-eat-dog world full of scammers and other crooks. The good news is, you don’t have to! None of the items in your Survival Store shopping cart get processed by me at all. You add products, and when you click checkout it redirects you to Amazon and automatically places those items in your Amazon cart. The buying/shipping process is completely handled by Amazon. I don’t ever see any of your billing/shipping information, or even what items you bought! Sweet, right? I know!

If these products are all from Amazon, why don’t I just buy from them directly?

You certainly can. It’s the same thing! Here are some reasons why you MIGHT choose to use Survivehive’s Survival Store:

Amazon has hundreds of thousands (heck maybe millions) of items. We only have a select number of items specifically related to survival and preparedness. I try my best to pick only top notch products for the Survival Store.

Survivehive receives a very small commission. It’s not enough to get even remotely excited about, but it will help me pay for the website hosting.

It doesn’t cost you any more or less to use our Survival Store. The product is still sold through Amazon’s shopping cart with Amazon’s normal prices.

You still deal with Amazon. This is just a portal to them. You don’t have a middle-man in me, I’m just providing a place to browse a few of their products.

If you’re interested in browsing the products I’ve placed in the store, head on over to Survivehive’s Survival Store and check it out for yourself! If you have product suggestions, you can Contact Me, for everything else, leave a comment below!

Thank you for your support and for reading about my experiences here at Survivehive!
