Van Diemen Luxury Craft, a Tasmania-based custom tender manufacturer, has been commissioned to build a bespoke 36-foot tender for an Australian client. The Van Diemen designed tender, which is due for delivery in early 2016, will be built in collaboration with Steber International.

Van Diemen’s patented roof and window system allows the tender to transform from a limousine to an open boat in under 30 seconds

The design considers a rear folding transom for ease of boarding, full amenities for patron comfort and Van Diemen’s patented roof and window system which allows the tender to transform from a limousine to an open boat in under 30 seconds.

The boat will offer seating for twelve guests and two crew. The project also features an air-conditioned cabin when in limousine mode, gyroscopic stabilisation and active ride control, touch screen digital switching and control and a twin V8 inboard v-drive arrangement to provide minimal cabin noise and vibration.

The Van Diemen 36ft tender will be the latest in their range of custom convertible limousine tenders, all of which feature the company’s patented roof and window system. Vessels range between 18ft-40ft with potential to develop larger designs.
