MasterCraft Boats UK has announced that the new XT23 is now available as a bespoke superyacht tender. The new 7m sportboat is the first MasterCraft boat to debut more than a dozen upgrades that will be offered on the 2017 line up.

The new model follows on from the creation of Mastercraft Bespoke Tender Division, a new business unit set up about three years ago in respond to the demand from superyacht captains for a dedicated sportsboat tender. After working with a number of professionals in the superyacht industry, the UK company perfected a custom install of a Yanmar diesel inboard.

Michael Hardicker, managing director of MasterCraft Boats UK, explains: “MasterCraft tenders fit the high standards and requirements of the superyacht industry. We produce a luxury product and offer the bespoke finish and options that owners want. With the Yanmar inboard diesel and custom lifting solutions, we meet the requirements of the captain and crew too.”

Amongst the bespoke options available with the new XT23 is the choice to get the boat outfitted in MasterCraft’s Cool Feel vinyl. The synthetic fabric is also new for the 2017 model line up and the company claims that the synthetic fabric remains cool to the touch even after extended exposure to direct sunlight.

In addition, the boat is equipped with MasterCraft’s Gen 2 Surf System that helps maintaining a consistent speed and creating perfect wake conditions with a simple touch-screen operation.

The boatbuilder also claims that the hull on the XT23 has been specifically designed to create maximum interior depth resulting in a spacious lounge and plenty of storage space. The rotocast seats provide space for up to 16 guests.

Easy docking

Also new and available on the XT23 is MasterCraft’s DockStar Handling System, a solution that enables boat drivers of any ability to confidently drive in reverse and easily navigate tight docks and crowded marinas. The DockStar Handling System will be available on all bespoke superyacht tenders.

The system operates through a pair of low-profile, flanking rudders that enable port-side reverse control, which was previously unattainable with inboard towboats, while also greatly assisting during docking and controlling the vessel at low speeds.

The addition of the new XT23 brings the number of bespoke tenders available with the Yanmar diesel inboard package to six. The full line up ranges from 6.1m to 7.9m.

The recently launched NXT20 Global Edition is also available for the bespoke tender treatment and comes with a Mercury Verado outboard engine.

MasterCraft Boats UK handles sales worldwide for the bespoke superyacht tenders. The company will be exhibiting at Monaco Yacht Show in September.
