Turkish shipyard Bilgin Yachts sells hull #2 of its 80m motoryacht Bilgin 263 to a repeat client. Tthe vessel is due for delivery by the end of 2019.
Second 80m Bilgin 263 is due for delivery by the end of 2019
Bilgin Yachts in Turkey has signed contract for a second 80m motoryacht Bilgin 263. Sold to a repeat client, the vessel is due for delivery by the end of 2019.
Same as for her sistership, this Bilgin 263 will be the largest yachts to be built in Turkey to date.
Bilgin Yachts is currently building hull #1 of this 80m model. The shipyard has reported that the steel hull for this unit is 75% complete and that it has begun to build her aluminium superstructure for Bilgin 263.
The hull for the second 80m yacht is 50% complete. This new 80m Bilgin 263 will be built to ABS classification and LY3 compliant.
Under construction
“We are extremely happy about the appeal of the Bilgin 263 series” says the shipyard CEO Ismail Sengun. “We are also very honoured by the confidence that another of our existing clients has put in us to deliver such an exceptional vessel, which undoubtedly, along with the first 80m, will bring Bilgin Yachts to another level.”
In addition to these two 80m projects, Bilgin Yachts is also currently building two units of the 48m Bilgin 156 series, which are available for purchase.
The first hull of Bilgin 156 series will be available for delivery in June 2017.
Located in greater Istanbul area, Bilgin Yachts is a boutique shipyard and specialised in bespoke superyachts from 40m to 100m.
The shipyard has been a family-run business for five generations since the early 1900’s.
Bilgin Yachts employs 300+ highly skilled craftsmen and claims that 90% of the work is done in-house.
The shipyard operates in facilities covering 27,000sq m including a state-of-the-art marine furniture factory, a comprehensive machine shop and a stainless-steel workshop.
The company will be expanding further with new 10,000sq m outfitting sheds and headquarters in the spring of 2017.
Bilgin’s headquarters are located in West Istanbul Marina, just 20 minutes away from Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport.
