Earlier today, Apple officially released iOS 9.2.1 with more exploits being patched. Even though the jailbreak community is eager to move from iOS 9.0.2, which is the latest jailbreakable firmware, to more updated versions of iOS, yet, there is no jailbreak release for this version of iOS, as well as earlier ones including iOS 9.1 and 9.2, and upcoming iOS 9.3 which is in beta, but only leaves us with rumors and teasers.

False alarm from TaiG’s partner, 3K Assistant

Last month, 3K Assistant, the partner company associated with the TaiG jailbreak team, publicly announced that the team has made significant progress on jailbreaking iOS 9.2 and a release could be expected soon. However, the post was quickly edited after being widely reported that disappointed the community. There is no further update from 3K since then on anything related to jailbreak.

Teasers of iOS 9.2 and 9.3 jailbreak from Italian Hacker Luca Todesco

In the past couple weeks, Italian Hacker Luca Todesco has been teasing iOS 9.2 jailbreak with a static screenshot of Cydia running on an iPhone 6. The bad news is that he will never release it unless the bugs are killed.

And quickly after iOS 9.3 beta 1 been pushed by Apple, Luca showed off the corresponding jailbreak on YouTube.

Again, there’s no word on any release. However, the good news is, the latest firmware is still jailbreakable that leaves a glimpse of hope for the community. And it’s also likely that the Chinese jailbreak teams, either Pangu or TaiG, could make it as well in near future.

Pangu’s partner 25PP invites speculations

Yesterday evening, 25PP, who is the partner company of the Pangu Jailbreak Team, reported the news on their site that Apple admitted iOS 9.2 has a glitch that the battery percentage does not show correctly on iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. However, at the end of the article, they highlighted in red that no wonder why the jailbreak teams dare not release the iOS 9.2 jailbreak.

This statement invited numerous speculations that either iOS 9.2 “has” already been jailbroken by the Pangu team but refrained from releasing it due to major issues on this firmware; or this is just another excuse to delay the jailbreak release as they haven’t succeeded at their end. Yet, there’s no further clear words to clarify on this.

Alleged iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak teased by famous hacker iH8sn0w

A moment ago, the famous iOS hacker iH8sn0w tweeted out an alleged evidence of having iOS 9.2.1 jailbroken running on the 4th generation iPad. No confirmation or further update yet but his followers are hyped by the tweet.

So what’s your take on the above? In my case, patience is the key and we will eventually have it at a right time. But let me know what you think in the comments.
