This post was made possible by iConnect: Influencer Management and Buddig. I was compensated for my time, but all opinions are 100% mine.

Simple snacks are one of the main focuses of the recipes on my blog. I once had my blog critiqued, and her first comment was that my recipes seemed geared for children. Well, they are not geared toward children BUT they are made with busy moms in mind! I try to find new ways to serve our favorites and incorporate amazing flavors in a hurry! One of my favorite restaurants serves “potato chips” topped with cheese. It’s a tasty tailgate treat, and I knew I could make this at home. These aren’t your normal potato chips!

To celebrate family mealtime traditions Buddig & Old Wisconsin are launching the #MakeItDelish Recipe Contest! I knew that my homemade potato chips would be an awesome addition to this contest! Now, my potato chips aren’t thin tasteless. They are thick potato slices that you can bake or fry for a fun snack anytime.

Every Old Wisconsin® product has a unique and memorable flavor. They have been making sausage for over 50 years! Buddig is happy to partner with Old Wisconsin to share their message and food! Carl Buddig and Company and Old Wisconsin are owned and operated by the Buddig family. Their tradition drives everything they do!

You can bake OR fry these, and the end result is still amazing.

Ingredients

5-6 large white potatoes

1 cup of sour cream

1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

1-2 packages of sliced deli meat, preferably Buddig Ham

Instructions

Slice potatoes according to your taste preferences. I usually make mine somewhat thick.

Bake for 35 minutes in a 375 degree oven OR use a fryer.

Wait for the potatoes to be nice and crisp!

While the potatoes are still warm, top liberally with shredded cheese.

Let cool and add sliced deli meat.

Garnish with a dollop of sour cream.

It’s a simple appetizer with a LOT of flavor! The Buddig products complement the potatoes very well, and the cool sour cream makes for a yummy garnish. You could even add bacon bits, green onions, tomatoes, or more to create loaded potato chips.
