This time of year is one of my favorites. It’s almost as we get a clean slate to start over. I switch to a new academic planner, I start meal planning again, and I prepare for the holiday hustle. One way that I get organized is with a simple meal plan with easy to prepare snacks and meals. I was excited to find bulk offerings in the freezer department at my local Walmart. Keep reading to learn how to meal plan on a budget (and use these super cute meal planning printables!).

The last time I stopped at Walmart, I headed to the freezer section. I recently had a refridgerator clean out, and it is all sparkling clean and empty. It is time to stock up on affordable options that I can feed my family quickly. Since my son is back in school, we need easy breakfasts and fast after school snacks. I looked to Jimmy Dean and State Fair for a few options.

I picked out the Jimmy Dean eight count Sausage, Egg & Cheese Croissant. Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches are delicious, satisfying, high quality breakfast solutions for the perfect start to any morning. They can keep you full until lunch, and the cook time is perfect if you are rushing to make the bus or the first bell of the day!

I also picked out a few ideas for after school snacks. State Fair‘s Classic 22 count Corn Dogs are simple and affordable. Sold in a convenient box for the freezer, it is a simple decision to add to our weekly snack rotation. State Fair Brand produces a variety of delicious corn dogs featuring a signature honey-sweetened cornbread batter. You can find State Fair Corn Dogs in the freezer section at Walmart.

Both options offer protein to keep you focused and full all day long. Besides the obvious simplicity of these meal items, the cook time helps feed your family in a hurry.

We recently enjoyed the corn dogs outside by the pool after a long day at school. We hit the park afterwards and had a fun shopping trip. After relaxing by the pool, these corn dogs were a tasty snack.

If you have a busy family or want to find a way to save time in the kitchen, try planning your week and your day with these printables. I have always used a weekly meal plan, but it almost didn’t have enough room to feature everything I want to track. The daily meal plan can help with reminders and also provide space to plan your entire day!
