My little one officially starts school next month. While he has gone to daycare in the past, it is nothing like this! I am so ready for him to learn and play with other kids his own age. One thing that I will have to start doing though is something I am totally ready for! I’m in charge of packing his lunch and snack every day along with his water bottle. It’s a small task, but it’s one that requires organization. I am not exactly the master meal planner around here anymore, but I created a few printables to help streamline my process. I haven’t used erasable pens in a long time, and they have certainly changed! These pens write smooth and erase clear. I love the pen package included a few different colors. Since I’m kind of a school supply nerd, I like to color code to stay organized.
Since these pens were erasable, I thought it was PERFECT to use in my weekly meal planning. Not only could I color code, but I could erase items if I changed my mind. Since I am starting September off strong with a monthly meal plan, here is my new system! Not only can I can takes these FriXion erasable pens with me on the go without worrying about them staining a handbag or losing a pen cap (they’re clickable too!), the ink is easily removed from fabric. Win!
To plan your lunches and dinners, start off with these printables. There are two lunch versions. One is blank and one has ideas for lunch menu items. Some mornings I’m totally not with it, so it is nice to have a few ready-made ideas for lunches. I can just pack and go. I compiled a list of some of my family’s favorite lunch ideas that are easy to pack. We love fresh veggies like peppers or carrot sticks and main courses include simple sandwiches of hummus with pita bread.
