Earth Day is coming up, and I can't think of Earth Day without thinking about The Lorax by Dr. Seuss. The Lorax book is a classic for kids and one of my favorites from childhood. Reading The Lorax and watching The Lorax movie are wonderful ways to begin a dialogue with young kids about caring for and protecting our planet - a lesson that is even more important today than it was when The Lorax book was published in 1971.

As part of our Earth Day celebration this year, my boys and I will be reading The Lorax book together and watching The Lorax movie - I'm so excited to share this story with them!
