A Bit Of German HeritageSo for those of you who don’t know, I’m a multiracial gal who tends not to take "ownership" of anyone. Why should I when all the many races and cultures I am made up of are so rich with exciting things to learn about? My main make up is German and African American,

Another thing to learn about me is that I love dolls and toys. I love to collect pretty and interesting toys and dolls no matter the price or quality of them. Sometimes you find the most interesting gems in cheaper priced and cheaper quality items. I feel with this mindset I have,
Air Jordan 7 white grey, I have been able to learn about some interesting toys out there. One such toy I have learned about and love is a toy out of Germany,

Now don’t get me wrong, over the years her quality has been picking up and she is quickly catching up to Barbie in her quality, but I feel this difference in quality puts Steffi Love on a level all her own. I’d honestly say she’s a few steps behind Barbie, but she is surely catching up. Now in Germany this may be a different thing, as the toy company who makes the doll is the fourth toy making company in the country. So Steffi Love may be giving Barbie a run for her plastic stilettos there.
Steffi In The USAThere are a few ways that I know of personally to obtain a Steffi Love doll in the USA. I’m hoping in a few years that she will become more readily available, but until then you have to hunt her down. One of the best places I can advise for you to visit on your search for this interesting doll is your local Big Lots. Big Lots was a kind of liquidation store. You could find items there for way cheaper than you’d find them at other stores like Walmart or Target. However, over the past recent years Big Lots has strayed from it’s niche and is trying to compete in prices with the big boys, which I think is a big mistake, but that’s just a personal opinion. I mention this because I do have worries that because of this switching that Big Lots will stop carrying Steffi Love because she’s not on level with Barbie and such. Big Lots is one of the major places I know you can find a Steffi Love doll for a good price and instant satisfaction. They don’t have the whole line, of course,
AJ jordan retro 7 GS eggs, but they do still have the dolls and their cute fashions. You can get a good package of stuff from anywhere between one to four dollars, depending on what’s inside the package.
Now along with Big Lots,
Jordan 11 Retro AJ11 factory level true carbon, it pays to check out other local "cheapie" stores in your area. For example, Family Dollar and Dollar General. I’ve seen knock off versions of Steffi Love in these stores, but as of late, I have not actually seen her in these stores. But it’s always worth a good look. Another cheapie place to look are other liqudation stores in your area. They tend to have shelves full of off brand dolls that sell for cheaper. One local place I can think of is Rose’s. Another option to look at are bigger doll stores that like to have a range of variety in toy prices. I have found Steffi gracing the shelves of Toys R Us as well. You won’t find her on the shelf with Barbie,
AJ Jordan 6 OVO size 41-47, you may have to look for the shelves with more of the one off dolls, but you may get lucky and find some big Steffi Love sets waiting for you. I once found a big dollhouse that while I don’t think it was labeled for the Steffi line,
jordan 11 gray green knit, it was made by the company that makes Steffi. So be sure to pop by your toy stores. And one last place to hunt out Steffi would be your local drug stores. They tend to have higher priced dolls on the shelves but at times you can find cheaper dolls and I have seen Steffy Love on the shelves before at drug stores.
A third option to finding Steffi Love is online. Ebay especially. You can find some Steffi Love on Amazon, but unless you are a dedicated fan of hers,
AIR JORDAN 13 grey pink, I wouldn’t go through Amazon to purchase her. She is sold in huge lots that I believe would cost you more than if you’d just purchased her at the store. However I mention Amazon just in case that’s an only or preferred option for you. If you do go the Ebay route,
Air Jordan 3 white blue lake, you may have to wait for a good deal to come along, and odds are you will be purchasing from someone who lives outside of the USA. Just make sure to do your research and check the seller’s feedback for any sales you decide to bid on or purchase.
A Different Target MarketI think a reason we don’t get more Steffi Love over here in the USA is because of the more accepting nature of those overseas. Steffi is more than just her and her cute fashions, she also has a husband and kids. Steffi is pregnant at one point during her line,

Jordan 11 Retro AJ11 carbon black white size 36-40, and you could purchase a doctor playset where Steffi goes to the doctor to check on the little one inside of her. When it is time for the new family member to come out, you have to remove Steffi’s tummy and pull the baby out of her body. This kind of doll is fully accepted overseas, where over here in the USA we had issues with Barbie’s married friend Midge having a baby that came out of her detachable tummy. This again is just a personal opinion on why I feel we don’t see more of this line on store shelves, but I do feel that while there may be a target market here for the doll, parents won’t be accepting of the Steffi line. Also with Barbie having such a strong foothold in the market, Steffi may not do as strongly against her as well.
The FashionsSteffi Love clothing is different from Barbie,

AJ 12 taxi jordan, at least from what I’ve seen. The clothing tends to be made from slightly cheaper fabric,
AJ3 jordan 3 black cements, it’s still decent compared to other cheapie dolls out there. But where the clothing lacks in fabric quality, it makes up for in styles. Steffi’s fashions tend to be a little more outgoing than Barbie’s whose fashions tend to follow a similar template. You can get clothing according to seasons, clothing according to certain styles like romantic or Victorian, and you can purchase clothing packs to let your Steffi doll be a different occupation as well. Steffi Love dolls tend to follow the trends of popular dolls while still being unique to their brand.
Speaking of brand, just like Barbie, Steffi has some big name brands behind her. Two names in general are Paris Hilton and Hello Kitty. The dolls aren’t really meant to look like the characters the line is sponsoring, but more carry the fashion style of the characters. For example,
Air jordan 3 lime red Redux, the Paris Hilton dolls come with fashions and jewelry you’d expect to see on Paris. For the Hello Kitty sets, you’ll find clothing with Hello Kitty printed on them.
One thing I love about the Steffi Love fashions is that not every piece of clothing is pink. While you will still see the color pink dominant throughout the line,
authentic jordan 4 black grey men size 41-47, the line also uses other colors and makes pink more of an accent color than dominant color in some of the clothing. However, pink still seems to be Steffi’s favorite color, so don’t expect to escape it completely. The best way I can describe it? Think Elle Woods from Legally Blonde, not everything is pink,

Jordan 5 Super fear 41-47, but I have read that some of the Steffi Love shoes can fit Liv Doll feet,

Steffi’s WorldWhat doll would be complete without a world to live in? From what I have seen, Steffi’s world still leaves a lot to the imagination. The playsets for the doll line are basic and minimal, but enough to get your creative juices going. Now what interested me about some of the playsets is the furniture that is more unique to European furniture. More curved lines and some see through bits of furniture. Also the styling of the sets makes me think more European than American as well. For children, however, I think the minimalist approach to the playsets does help a child use their imagination more. The sets are cute, quirky, and for the most part pink. From castle, to home, to apartment,

Friends of SteffiNow while Barbie has friends to call her own, I didn’t see that in the Steffi line. You could also buy different hair colored versions of Steffi and call them friends, but other than that I don’t really see a friend line. The closest I could call a friend for Steffi comes in the form of the Mystic Girlz line. A goth set of girls who prefer black over pink. Yep, the anti Elle Woods.
These girls are actually pretty cute. I love how they still work pink into the set,
AJ jordan retro 6 suede, but only to add a pop of color to their black ensembles. There is a lot of faux leather and lace in this line as well. There is even a "scary couple" in the line. We don’t get their names, we all know of them as the mystic beauty and her spooky cool friend.
Now the thing about this couple set is that the guy is fully poseable with tattoos all over, while the girl is not really poseable and has just a few tattoos. It seems the doll line is slowly heading into the direction of the male being more articualted. The male of the set has articulation in his neck, shoulders, elbows,

It kind of reminds me of the Harley Davidson line from Mattle that was out not to long ago. The guy is a cute redhead that would make a nice added edition to anyone’s photostory cast. The girl would need to be re headed to another both if you want her to be more flexible, if you find the sporting Steffi Love line you could use that body that has articulation points in the elbows and knees.
One thing in the line I really like is the coffin shaped closet in one of the playsets. Maybe it’s from my darker and gothier side,

jordan 5 authentic 100%, but I think it’s so cute even with it’s pink doors with the cross on it. Like I said, I don’t think this "world" is suppose to cross over to Steffi’s "world",

Final ThoughtsI find Steffi Love so fascinating. I wish I could find her more on the store shelves. When I found out she was a German made doll that interested me more because it links back to part of my heritage. I find I tend to love things European made, and Steffi Love is no different. I may have to grow my collection of Steffi Love. I’m excited to head back to the stores and look more closely at her now.
