Wexham Springs, UK – 08 March 2016: Sun Chemical and its inkjet division, SunJet, is presenting its global range of solutions for the digital wide format market this week at FESPA Digital 2016 on stand C110, Hall 3.

Technology highlights will include the global launch of Sun Chemical’s new inkjet ink, SunTex, developed specifically for textile and soft signage applications. SunJet, is also displaying Aquacure, its next generation of functional aqueous inkjet ink.

Central to its offering at this year’s FESPA Digital, Sun Chemical is launching SunTex, its water-based inkjet ink developed especially for textile and soft signage applications. Three inks are being demonstrated at the show under the SunTex brand including:

SunTex Sonata DTE – a series of dye-sublimation inks for transfer print applications offering bright, vibrant colour and dense black reproduction

SunTex Sonata DDE – a series of disperse-dye direct print inks with excellent ‘show-through’ properties for double-sided output such as flags and banners.

SunTex Encore PDE – a range of water-based pigmented inkjet inks with adhesion to a wide range of media, as well as excellent wash fastness and wet rub properties.

Streamline – Solvent-based compatible alternative ink solutions

Sun Chemical is also highlighting its Streamline range of solvent-based alternative inkjet inks for wide format printers including Epson, Roland, Mutoh and Mimaki. Visitors to the stand will see the recently launched Streamline Ultima HPQ LO ink series, a high performance ink that has been developed for use in the Mimaki JV300 and JV150 high-speed wide format printers and benefits from Sun Chemical’s advanced low odour chemistry, which is particularly suited to smaller print shop environments.

Streamline TBJ designed specifically for the HP TurboJet printer, it offers a host of production efficiencies including reduced energy consumption and improved ink consumption

Streamline ESL 2 low odour eco-solvent ink, developed for Roland Pro 4 printers

Streamline ESL HPQ LO, benefitting from Sun Chemical’s low odour chemistry and developed for Roland Pro 2 and Pro 3 printers

Streamline SGX eco-solvent, low odour inks introduced to work with high performance thin film print heads for the Epson SureColor 70600 printer

Streamline MUTLO for Mutoh printers

Products from the Streamline range now carry GREENGUARD certification providing assurance that the inks are fully compliant with stringent indoor air quality emission standards. Streamline inks that are GREENGUARD certified include: Streamline Ultima HPQ LO; Streamline ESL HPQ LO; Streamline ESL 2 and Streamline SGX.

Aquacure™

Visitors to the stand can learn more about the benefits of Aquacure, SunJet’s latest approach to ink development based on its unique aqueous chemistry, which combines water-based, and UV curing technologies. The functional aqueous ink offers optimum high quality output, excellent adhesion to a wide range of media, outstanding flexibility, broad colour gamut, as well as low odour properties and a host of environmental benefits.

Partnerships, collaborative ink developments & innovative inkjet chemistry
